does anyone one here get blue toes
Hi minka ,
Have you noticed whether there is anything that triggers this (such as exposure to cold)? Have you looked at whether you may be experiencing Raynaud's phenomenon? You can learn more about this at sruk.co.uk/raynauds/what-ra...
Thanks Paul all this came on cos my ankle seems to twist and I sort of walk over incorrectly to big toe and it was cold 2 weeks ago when I whent for a walk but since I lost my rum woman and taken of predistone I have been struggling with All sorts of pains through walking incorrectly and hospital don't seem to be taking me seriously regarding pain problems so I really need a rumi person but all I got is someone who is going to have a look in my knee another problem to deal with later
Yes I do. My consultants tell me my blue toes (and feet & hands & lips) are due to lupus & Sjogrens- related raynauds + vascular problems (blood pooling, dysautonomia) related to my vascular type ehlers danlos hypermobility.
Been checked out for Gout? Your big toe looks swollen is why I ask? I had this pain in metacarpals when my Sjogrens was imitating RA. Now I get white toes daily as part of Raynauds. Mainly happens in winter months. Blue is hallmark of Raynauds I would say but pain sounds more like inflammatory arthritis to me. The two often flare up together - for me anyway.
All bones sort of feel like they are drying out on me to consider this came on from just small ankle pain to twisting knee and hurt ankle and big toe now it seems to have progress to hip hands throat and gums and teeth it really is hard walking with this and tingling leg and I have no rumi doctor now I think due to cuts Or something Nothing showing in bloods at all on this thing
Yep I get raynaurds this does link with DLE lupus. My fingers go purple and very sore in winter.
Hello Minka,
I don't get blue toes but my fingers go blue, especially the forefingers and index ones. also the top of my hands has been affected. Before I was diagnosed correctly, I was told it was Raynauds disease., which it isn't.
I was referred by the Rheumatologist to a Vascular Surgeon who told mesyndrome it was 'Blue Finger Syndrome', a rare disorder of the circulatory system. He said very little is known about it but suspects it maybe linked to the Lupus and Antiphospholipid Syndrome that I have.
It has affected the joints in my fingers which are extremely painful and swell up.
