Medical bracelet for Lupus

Hi everyone,

Im guessing i probably need to get a bracelet that says i have Lupus encase of a medical emergency, i was just wondering if anyone has come across some nice pretty ones that don't look too chunky and medical based? many thanks...

If you have a chronic illness are are on long term medication it’s a sensible thing to do. On the PMRGCAuk forum, where all are on steroids, it’s a must as they cannot suddenly be stopped… likely to cause an adrenal crisis.

Yes, I can understand that. Im on Azathioprine so maybe it would be sensible,

For the price [you can go as low or a high as you want] - it’s peace of mind. It may never be used, but it’s a bit like insurance, it’s there if/when you need it. 😊

Hi Rosie.I've worn a medical alert band for a few years partly because of being steroid dependant but also because on one occasion I was in hospital they tried to give me a drug I can't take even wrote to my gp telling them to prescribe it....even refused to give me the Consultant prescribed alternative. That bothered me because I thought what if I had an accident or a stroke and couldn't communicate. I worn one ever since and never take it off. SML x
