I was on both for years with no bad effects but have had to stop metho for the time being as I have recently had a mastectomy and was starting chemo, but the chemo was deemed too aggressive so we are moving on to radiotherapy. Still taking Omeprazole though.
I was prescribed omeprazole to protect my stomach from prednisolone in 2017. I started methotrexate in 2019. I'm still taking all of them today and I've had no problems. I was told to take omeprazole about forty minutes before I take my pred...this gives it more of a chance to protect my tummy before I take my 4mgs of prednisolone. I'm currently on 10mgs methotrexate weekly. Good luck with it..I hope it helps 🍀💜🦋
Me too at one time and no problems. However methotrexate stopped for unrelated reasons at one point so I now take Azathioprine plus other medications and still take omeprazole twice daily. 😊
yes I am on 10 methotrexate and 30 omeprazole. Tried to take myself off ppi for similar concern as yours. I have been really nauseous and fatigued for 12 days now and have gone back on ppi !
Hi I've been on Omeprazole for many years and methotrexate for 6 years. I'm absolutely fine with both. However I do take a lot of supplements and try and eat a healthy diet as possible.
I'm in a similar situation, but take famotidine instead of omeprazole. The latter caused me migraine-like headaches. In case you have similar issues down the road! I've been on it long term, 20-40 mg daily over several years, depending on my symptoms, and it's been fine.
