Parasols

Yes, I carry the parasol with me. I have a few of them. Solbari is the best. I live in London so no one is particularly interested.
Always wanted a Japanese one!
Parasol or Parapluie - the French just change the word to suit the weather - in my late Dad's words - that's the smarty pants (he was from the East End of London though - so "pants" is not the word he would've used) fact of the day. Seriously I'm thinking of getting one. My Solbari hat is really hot, but I do need to persevere with something. Great tip, thank you. Au revoir mes amies (I hope my French is right) ☂️☔️
If I could get a parasol in that kind of floral fabric used on sun loungers and folding deckchairs in the 1970s, I'd be rushing to get one! I really need to get a summer hat at least.
I use mine in preference to a hat when it is very hot as I agree with CavendishCool, hats with F50 in then are very hot! I think Edwardian lady. Many people in the village understand my problem as I've explained it when questioned about the parasol. Spreading the word and understanding!! Just so wish, that the height of fashion were those umbrellas that you wore like a hat - cool and hands free! Now that would be a conversation stopper.
I’ve now got two to match my outfits! And they’re both flowery, FredaN. Try that famous online retailer for a great choice. I’m past caring what people think of me. I’d rather be laughed at than come out in big red blotches that take months to fade.
Solbari umbrella I have been using for years and I also use their hats and arm sleeves.
I use a parasol (well umbrella really as mine not that pretty!). I think it might be solbari but quite difficult finding something that’s totally protecting. It’s plain silver on the outside but I read not to have white/silver on the inside as this reflects light/ heat from pavements. I also agree hats are too warm at times.
What I would like to find is a parasol/ umbrella for the garden. The sort that slots into a table if anyone knows of one
Gosh that’s clever Bluemoon! I’ll have a look at them. Thanks
