who also has fibromyalgia and then lupus?

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2009 and then lupus last year. I think it was harder to get the diagnosis because a lot of syptoms overlap.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia before lupus by my rheumatologist, although I always knew it was only part my story.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I have a list of other problems too. Neck and back problems, waiting for right knee replacement. Hard to know if connective tissue effects versus arthritis. So confusing sometimes. Underactive thyroid and to add insult to injury im in the menopause.

How do doctors work out what is Fibromyalgia and what is Lupus or whatever else you've been diagnosed with? I had a very strange conversation with a rheumatologist who tried to diagnose me with Fibromyalgia (I felt Lupus fitted better) and I can't actually figure out how they go about diagnosing it?
