I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 2009 and then lupus last year. I think it was harder to get the diagnosis because a lot of syptoms overlap.
who also has fibromyalgia and then lupus? - LUPUS UK
who also has fibromyalgia and then lupus?
Hiya! I got the diagnosis of lupus as one as my first diagnosis then secondary fibro about a year and a bit ago 💜
fibromyalgia was the first autoimmune disease I was diagnosed with. I also ha chronic fatigue. Years later I was diagnosed with Sjogrens, Lupus and MTHFR.
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia before lupus by my rheumatologist, although I always knew it was only part my story.
Hi. I have a full house and then some lol. Lupus, fibro, sjogrens, plus lots of other little chronic friends lol. Welcome to the club Caz 🤣. Take care of yourself xx
Hi nice to meet you ☺️
Yes overlap of
Rheumatoid arthritis
Fibromyalgia

Thank you for the warm welcome. I have a list of other problems too. Neck and back problems, waiting for right knee replacement. Hard to know if connective tissue effects versus arthritis. So confusing sometimes. Underactive thyroid and to add insult to injury im in the menopause.

Hi, first I was diagnosed after a longtime and battle with Lupus then, Sjögrens, now fibromyalgia, looking into Rhumatoid Arthritis. Loads of overlap.
Welcome to the club take care 🙂
How do doctors work out what is Fibromyalgia and what is Lupus or whatever else you've been diagnosed with? I had a very strange conversation with a rheumatologist who tried to diagnose me with Fibromyalgia (I felt Lupus fitted better) and I can't actually figure out how they go about diagnosing it?
