hi, I was diagnosed with SLE in 2022 and have had positive and negative antibody results since this time but my most recent test came back as equivocal which is a first for me. I’m on Benlysta monthly infusions which has massively dampened down my symptoms. Has anyone had this equivocal result and could explain what it might mean? Thank you.

Does it mean borderline?
Or they suspect something was wrong with the test?
If it is borderline they should use the word 'borderline'
Or maybe they have broadened the 'borderline band" so there are less positives.
On the internet it say “An equivocal test result means that the result could not be interpreted as positive or negative.”
Hello Mooncat, I was wondering the same as my daughter had an equivocal result also recently after testing was done following unexplained rashes. Equivocal looks indeed borderline from my understanding but in her case paediatrist isn’t worried and will repeat bloods in 6 weeks.
