lupus rash?

If you Google lupus rash you will see many images very similar to yours. I have discoid/cutaneous lupus but my rash is very blotchy, bright red, itchy and burns. The only way i found out was by having a skin biopsy. Up until then i had no idea it was lupus. It didnt really show in my blood results. From then on i was advised to use sunscreen spf 50 both in and outdoors. That will help protect your skin from being damaged. My real advice though is to speak to gp. Wish you all the best

I have had a blood test done and the hospital said it was negative so I just assumed that’s it it must be something els, but I have a lot of the symptoms, maybe I should go to my gp and discuss with them, thank you

My bloods also were negative or over the past few months with only a slight trace of ANA. It was my skin biopsies that diagnosed lupus. My flare ups were often and quite bad and i had biopsies done before my actual due time. I had no idea what was causing it. If you are worried about the rash please see if you can be referred to a dermatolgist. In the meantime protect your skin from sunlight and artificial lighting by using suncreen. It cant do any harm. Get one for sensitive skin. Also I'm careful not to use certain shampoos and shower gels. Keep asking questions on this website. Everyone is so kind and understanding. Happy to share their tips and suggestions. They have helped me a lot. Hope you find the help you need🌷
