Hi. There's no need to stop taking them. Hope you feel better soon 🌹

That isn't the case with all abx. Some abx can have interactions with HQC, such as ciprofloxacin. It can cause long QT syndrome. It's best to check with a pharmacist as they are the ones who are very informed about interactions.

Yup, As CarolMD said Definitely don't have to stop taking Hydroxychoroquine. I take my antibiotics all the time and been years and have never required to stop it. So no yo don't need to stop!!

Hydroxychloroquine is not an immunosuppressant so no need to stop it whilst on antibiotics.

I don’t stop taking it but the antibiotics reduce the efficiency of the HCQ so I try to avoid taking too many.

I was warned antibiotics react hydroxchlorquine so I take antibiotics several hours apart from hydroxchlorquine.

Yes if heart problems u can't there is new red flag guidelines of heart attack or fast heart if two are taken together with history fast heart or heart issues.

I'm on clarthmyocin

Think ingredients must change in antibiotics never used have that warning.

My go allows if take different time day

No, I've had antibiotics and antivirals this year , no problem . But I did have to stop for 2 weeks when I took antifungal tablets.

Yes I have recently been prescribed steroids and also take hydro,my consultant or Dr haven't mentioned anything about stopping so I guess that means to just carry on,

You shouldnt take HQC and ciprofloxacin together as it can cause long QT syndrome and put your heart at risk and it can also put your tendons at risk. Achilles heel rupture is a classic HCQ and cipro interaction. There are others too that interact.

Basically, check with your pharmacist as they know best. Every antibiotic is different and can react with different medications. Also it's about risk Vs benefit. The risk of interaction may be small but the benefit of the abx may be higher.
