Hi. Since I recently swapped to home deliveries for medication, every 4 weeks some meds are missing or out of stock.I didn't have this problem when I ordered directly from the GP, changed over because I was struggling to get into town to collect my prescriptions.
The messages from Lloyds Pharmacy says if I urgently need the medication I can request it from another pharmacy and collect it.
Defeating the purpose of using the delivery service and I often left without important meds.
Is anyone else having problems with home delivery and suppliers? TIA

Yes I was using an online pharmacy a couple of years ago but when I had to start getting hydroxy they never had it in stock. Then my blood pressure meds didn't always come. It seemed like if you need well known meds then you got them but anything out of the ordinary and you never got them. I have found a pharmacy that puts specific brands of meds by for me when they get them and so I'm never without but that is just building up a relationship with a local pharmacist myself and them feeling sorry for me. Several other chemists were not so kind. Its a pain because it was so easy getting your meds through the post but it just stopped working well for me.
Hi. Sorry you had problems. It's frustrating and potentially could cause more health issues.I'd never been let down by Boots when I collected my medication myself. Even if something was in short supply they'd make sure I had enough to take until they could get the rest of the supply.
I also get some medication delivered that's managed by the hospital specialist and have never had any problems with that. It's just since I've changed to using Lloyds.
Trying to cancel the arrangement with home delivery isn't easy either.
I went to sign into the account but according to the company I don't exist but they are emailing me about the delays. I have no confidence in them.
Earlier Well had a problem with Desunin, but it's available now. I used to order monthly, but they sometimes missed items. Now only single items so it's simpler & they mostly can come through the letterbox.
Hi. Good idea, think Boots has a delivery service with a fee. Have used it previously. Might ask if they provide that were I live now, thanks 👍I used to collect my prescription from Boots but switched to the delivery service because my mobility is poor. Never had any problems with the direct service.
To get my latest set of prescriptions that Lloyds can't source I've had to get barcodes to take to my nearest pharmacy which happens to be Boots.
