Saphnelo infusion center in EU

I'm on a monthly Saphnelo infusion and will be un Europe for extended time. Any european country would be fine as I could take a trip to visit a new place for fun and get the infusion at that time. What town/clinic are you getting the infusion from? My USA insurance says I would need to find and infusion center that offers Saphnelo, pay, and submit reimbursment later.

I guess you would need to find a Rheumatologist to prescribe it for you and find a centre that you can have the infusion. Depends what country you are visiting in Europe. Good luck 🤞

Europe is quite large! You'd get a better response if you specified where you're planning to be. Have a good trip

When I go on TRIPS out of the COUNTRY- I “reschedule all of my INFUSIONS” around the TRIP.

1- I move the INFUSION before the TRIP CLOSER to when I LEAVE - pushing it OUT to “4 1/2 - 5 wks” from the LAST INFUSION.

2- I schedule the RETURN INFUSION for the 1st FULL DAY BACK - (once again, it might be 4 1/2 - 5 wks between Infusions)

3- GETTING in their UK INFUSIONS SCHEDULE would (in my opinion) be almost impossible- since as others said it is “DOCTOR PRESCRIBED & Monitored with SCHEDULING in UK is TIGHT).

Your DOCTOR would have to arrange it with a UK Rheumatologist.

4- REIMBURSEMENT would be HORRIBLE- it would be so EXPENSIVE & our INSURANCE COMPANIES have worked “deals” with these companies & you have OUT OF NETWORK “Amounts” you would be RESPONSIBLE for Paying.

5- STRETCHING “Time” between INFUSIONS is the BEST IDEA.

6- If you are there longer than 5 weeks - you may need to “RESTART the LOAD of Saphnelo” AGAIN - and your Dr can do that for you.

We have to do that if we get SICK & can’t take infusions, or wait 2 wks after and before COVID VACCINE SHOTS.

So - IMMEDIATELY call & RE-SCHEDULE w/the INFUSION OFFICE to get your Infusion VISITS TIMED “rearranged” around your TRIP.

Your dr may have other ideas to help you, but make sure they are in the loop of how you are “STRETCHING time” between Infusion VISITS - to allow for your TRIP.
