Hi,

I'm getting my first cyclophosphamide infusion tomorrow.

What are side effects that you had experienced, just / a day / a week / a month after the infusion ?

Dizziness, fatigue, confusion, sleepless nights, weak legs... ?

Do I need to be prepared to be bed bound for the next couple of days ?

Thank you in advance for your advice !

Hi Hika. My advice is to drink plenty of water during all the way through your treatment. I had 8 cycles, 1 every fortnight. I found I would just be starting to feel “normal” when it was time for my next treatment. They will give you anti sickness tablets, I felt nauseous but was never sick. I also kept a supply of ginger nut biscuits. My hair did thin out, but I didn’t lose it all, it did grow back white! It probably took a few months after treatment, to notice how much better I was. I found if I took my kindle & watched a downloaded film, it made time go a bit quicker!! Good luck, I wish you well. xx

Hi Hika, I have just gone back on Cyclo after a few years. Monday was my first infusion. The next morning (today) I noticed that I felt a bit low.... not like me at all, I am usually very optimistic. The depressive feeling has strengthened throughout the day. Other than that, A little bit nauseous but nothing much. Good luck.

Hi Hika, I had 6 months cyclophosphamide infusions and had the same experience as Kezzabo. About 3 days after infusion I was going about my days as usual. The only thing I would add is I suffered from constipation because of the anti sickness drug and the chemo nurse suggested drinking prune juice which worked 😊 Best wishes 🌸
