Hello everyoneJust thought it's time for a fun picture so I'm showing you this guy's golden retrievers Gus and Dora as they love going flying with him in U.S. They think other planes are birds!.
Gus is positively smiling isn't he and with this miserable weather we're having i hope this gives you all a smile too?. ๐
Hope your all keeping as well as possible.
MistyX
P.s, still no news about a gastro appt. I wrote to my Pain Consultant as pain is so sharp and have tried ringing the Pain Clinic but there's been no answer due to staff sickness. Don't know if letter even arrived. So maddening. Trying again on monday!.
Hope your not having too many problems getting your medications!. Xx

Fabulous photo. Yes he looks like he is loving the ride. Our poor Finlay hates the car so I cannot image how terrified he would be in a plane. Thank you for sharing you have cheered me up on a bad pain day xxx
So sorry lovely, you have a lot of pain too. It really is so miserable and unrelenting. I'll be in touch if I get any news tomorrow from the Pain Clinic. Hope you feel better soon. Xx
I hope you have less pain today Cecily. It can vary quite a bit can't it?. I have finally made progress as the Pain Clinic actually phoned me back to say they couldn't find my letter as they've moved offices!!. I've sent it by email and just heard that they've forwarded it to my Consultant so hopefully I might hear something although i am seeing her in a fortnight!!. We'll see. Its a better start to this week. Take care. Xx
Thatโs so sweet Helen ๐ฅฐ looks like a golden retriever which are suppose to be the best family dogs, lovely temperaments.
So sorry to hear the trouble youโre having with these appointments, oh boy itโs a struggle and hard work when you really donโt feel up to it all the chasing , I hope and pray you have some better luck next week, youโre having a rotten time of it and deserve better luck ๐
Sending hugs my lovely ๐ฅฐ ๐๐น๐๐ธ๐XXX
Thanx Dianne so much for your lovely messages. I really do appreciate all your support. Yes, Gus is a Golden Retriever, they're beautiful dogs that we don't see as many anymore?. Perfect temperament.
I'm also having tech trouble again so will reply to your lovely message when I can . Good luck for physio , do hope its helpful.
Hopefully I can make progress with the Pain Clinic tomorrow and get the painkillers I need too. Life is determined to test me at the mo. Take Care Lovely and we'll chat again soon. Big hugs. Xx
Just heard from the Pain Clinic after putting another message on their phone. Letter never arrived as they've moved offices. I've emailed it to them and will await a reply but maybe not now as I see her in a fortnight. Will chat later this week. take care. Xx
Ok lovely no rush ๐ glad youโve heard something but oh boy how frustrating this is for you, nothing should be lost during a move , definitely not in healthcare ๐ now letโs hope they donโt move your appointment in two weeks ๐ค๐
Gus looks like he would like a pair of shades too! Lovely photo, Misty, thanks for posting and cheering us all up! Sorry you're having a lot of pain - so frustrating when you can't get through to people. Hope you have some luck on Monday and get some good news for your op soon xx
Thank you Choccy for your lovely wishes. I finally heard from the Pain Clinic that they couldn't find my letter thanx to an office move!!. I've emailed it to them and now my Pain Consultant is in receipt of it, I hope to hear from her soon about biliary pain help. Hope you continue to make progress post covid. Xx
My goodness Misty, a canine Biggles! ๐คฃ Doesnโt Gus look so relaxed and in control? Heโs fabulous! Really made me smile on such a dull dreich morning.๐๐ป๐๐ป
So sorry you still havenโt heard from the Pain Clinic. I never had word back from my Rheumy helpline either but I think it might be because it is out of action now so may have been on the blink when I left a message 2 weeks ago. ๐คท๐ผโโ๏ธ I hope you have luck getting hold of them tomorrow. ๐ค Not nice when you are in so much pain. Hang in there Misty. Thinking of you.๐ค๐ xxxx
Thanx so much Spotty for your lovely messages. Gus makes a lovely Biggles, lovely remembering him too so that's put a smile on my face this am.
I will think of you on Tuesday for your steroid injection , fingers crossed it helps better as it will have been put into the source of the pain, )the right joint).
i'm so sorry your having such a rough time too. I agree re asking Dr N for a Cardio Referral. I had one and it was helpful having it explained what was happening and they offered treatment. I felt exactly as you did ,feeling i was wasting A&E time and tests as they were all coming back negative. I had exactly the same words said to me as you have, important to get checked out so you must come in!!. it really does depend on the attitude of the doctor on the day in A&E. I've had lovely and nasty. Glad this last one was so nice to you.
I'll keep you posted how I get on tomorrow, having tech problems again. Life seems determined to be tough at the mo. Thinking of you and sending lots of healing hugs. Xx.
Haha, weโre showing our age Misty remembering Biggles. ๐ It seems like only last year! ๐คฃ Glad it made you smile.๐
It is lovely to know youโll be thinking of me on Tuesday and Iโll let you know how it goes.
My last cardio referral was thorough and they also gave me treatment - statin, beta blocker, aspirin and GTN spray - but all except the aspirin and spray didnโt agree with me but have never been replaced/substituted. So time for a review I feel. Glad to hear you had a helpful referral with everything explained to you and the offer of treatment.๐๐ป๐๐ป I hope Iโll get the same. ๐ค
Iโve only ever had one nasty doctor in A&E after a coronary artery spasm and it was when I was air-lifted from the West Highland Way 4 years ago. The hospital was around 40 miles from the holiday cottage we were staying in but despite feeling VERY fragile that night Dr Clare decided to discharge me at 10.30pm on a Sunday night with nowhere to go because all the B&Bs and guest houses were full due to motorbike trials that weekend! Weโd eaten nothing since midday and I felt very nauseous and weak. Luckily weโd lived in Fort William before moving down here so out of desperation hubby phoned an old friend in her 80s and she told us to go there straight away. She gave us her spare twin room and made us sandwiches and buttered scones with a large pot of tea. We were SO grateful to her and donโt know how weโd have managed without her. The busses were full of folk returning to Glasgow the following day so we got a train back to where our holiday cottage was. What an experience - but very irresponsible of the A&E doctor to throw me out at my age following such an incident and without any concern of where Iโd go. We should really have reported her and lodged a formal complaint but just never got around to it.
Iโll be thinking of you tomorrow Misty and sending healing hugs not just to you but to your tech equipment in the hope it behaves itself and allows you to have a useful appt. ๐๐ป
Take care and the very best of luck. ๐ค๐๐๐ป๐ค๐ xxxx
What a nightmare ordeal that was spotty after a CAS, never to be forgotten!. No wonder you were hugely grateful to that lady you knew. I do agree that you were chucked out of A&E with no thought as to how you would manage. All they wanted was the free spaces!. Shocking!!. You need preventative medication.
I've managed a big piece of progress after putting another message on the Pain Office Answerphone. They actually rang back to say they've been trying to find my letter with no luck!!.They'd moved offices which is probably why they didn't receive it!. Do wish they had told me earlier!. I've sent it by email and they've put it for my Consultant to see. Feel so relieved although she may not reply as she's seeing me in a fortnight!!. We'll see!!.
I'm having problems getting my pain relief still. Another patch has suddenly become unavailable and I'm in such a lot of pain trying to sort it out. Its such an added stress we didn't need!.
Good luck tomorrow spotty, I hope it goes well, will think of you. Thanx so much for your thoughts and prayers. Xx
That is fabulous news youโve made progress after leaving another message on the Pain Office answerphone. ๐๐ป Your determination and perseverance paid off but as you say they could have told you earlier that theyโd moved! ๐ I hope the consultant does reply before you see her.๐ค And I hope and pray you manage to get some relief from all that pain Misty. It is terrible the way you, and many others on this forum, are just left to get on with it and endure it!๐ซ
Thank you for your kind wishes for me tomorrow. Iโm hoping the injections (there are to be two I believe) will bring pain relief for me.๐ค Iโll let you know how it goes.
In the meantime love and healing hugs are heading your way. ๐๐ค๐xxx
Sometimes the smallest things are the biggest achievements for us struggling with our health and mean so much. Stormy, lovely seeing you on forum and I will keep up the positives.
I thought of Bea and Mira when I saw this pic svfarmer!. Didn't think they would like it or be able to sit still like the Golden Retriever's. I've just found out my Pain Consultant Letter got lost in an office move so its now been emailed to her!!. Hope I get a reply soonish. It proves how we must follow everything up .I must admit I 've not had great luck over the years, have had to do things the hard way but I get there in the end!!.
Hope you have the sun like we have today and your all keeping well. Xx
Hi misty, what a lovely picture, such a smiley dog ๐. Dogs love riding in cars as well and seem to love putting their heads out the car window!!!
Sorry you are still waiting for your appointments , hopefully the pain clinic will help and sort out your problems with your pain patches.
Did you have much snow last week, we had about 5 inches, my husband and son had to dig the cars out. It did disappear quite quickly the next day as it warmed up . It flattened alot of the daffodils, hopefully they will perk up .
Take care , best wishes for your appointments xxxx๐
Thank you weathervane for your lovely mesdage. So glad you liked Gus's pic. Your so right about dogs loving to hang out of moving windows!. He certainly looked like he was enjoying it!. I'm sorry you had snow but luckily it didnt stay too long. Enough to be a nuisance though!. We didnt have any thankfully!.
I finally had a call from the Pain Clinic to say my letter got lost because they moved offices!!. They gave me their email address and i've emailed it to them. They did reply saying they'd passed it to my Consultant. I don't expect a reply now as i see her in 10 days time. Its helping me get thru till then specially as ive had problems getting some painkillers as well.
Did you hear from your oncologist yet about your treatment?.
Its lovely seeing the daffodils, gives us heart spring is coming. Its been a long winter. Hope you have a lovely weekend. Best wishes Xxโ๏ธ๐๐ค๐ป
P.s, there's a program on tuesday next with Anton and Giovanni from Strictly in Sicily. At least we'll see some ๐Xx
The waiting is so frustrating, I havenโt heard back from oncology yet should be soon, also due rituximab in April , hopefully hear about that as well ๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป. The pain hasnโt improved and my knees are particularly painful at the moment.
Iโve seen the adverts for the programme on Tuesday, will definitely be watching it ๐ฅฐ
Take care and ๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ป๐ค๐ปfor all our appointments xxxx๐ฅฐ๐ค๐คโ๏ธ๐
