Has anyone received a letter saying they require another vaccine.
I have had my 3rd booster vaccine and this week I received a letter saying that vulnerable patients can be offered another vaccine. However it should be done after the 2nd one.
I am a bit confused because I did not know about this.
Has anyone had this letter ?

I had my 3rd in Sept under the vulnerable hat. Then in Nov got called for one under the 50 hat. Systems weren’t marrying up. Mine have all been 3 months apart. My dr nephew said that is the ideal, 6 mtgs is for rationing purposes not medical. Awaitimg news of the 4th now haha.
Although they talk about a 'third' vaccine and a 'booster', I believe they are all the same medication. If they are offering you more, take it! The vaccinators at the clinic are expert and will have the full picture.
As I understand the third and subsequent jags are different types than the first two. In my rudimentary understanding they cover different aspects of immunity.
Hi. When I spoke to 119 about this, they said the letters are all out of sync and running very behind. Mine came a month after having the 3rd primary jab.
I had two doses of AstraZeneca in February and was called for the booster jab in September. I then had the Pfizer jab and was told it was a booster, since then I was told that because I’m immunosupressed I should have had a third jab the same as the first two and next a booster. Because of the medication I’m given it wipes out the antibodies and so the vaccine does not give us protection for long.
It is possible that you have received the letter late and it refers to the third injection that you have already had – does it state whether it is referring to the Third Primary Vaccine or the Booster? It may be a good idea to check with your GP whether you would have been offered the Third Primary Vaccine or the Booster.
You will see below a link to our recent article in relation to vaccines and boosters. There is currently a lot of confusion, but I hope this article will help.
