Has anyone else had a particularly severe reaction to the Moderna jab? I had all the common symptoms, chills, aching limbs etc but also sickness, tummy pains and such bad migraine I could hardly see or speak. Still feeling weak and wobbly after five days.

Moderna booster
Dear fishers63
My doctor told me that all the other brands are given the same dose of covid vaccine , wether you get the booster or what they are calling the 3rd Jab , (for more vulnerable )
The Merderna will be given at a more higher dose for( vulnerable ) booster a lower dose .
Hope this information helps you .

I also wonder has anyone or friends and families who have experienced heart problems including strokes or death after Pfizer covid 19 vaccine Or maybe flareups( mild or severe) after Pfizer and reporting system of side effects if really exist and work
I did but only after the 3rd shot. I didnt wait for the booster of 50mmg but took the full dose of 100. Was in bed for two days and the symptoms disappeared suddenly after that.
Hi - this link gives you up to date information on all side effects reported via the MHRA yellow card system. gov.uk/government/publicati...
I definitely had a more severe reaction to the booster (severe muscle pains in back and legs). It lasted about 2 days and then I felt a bit washed out for a day or two but was fine after that . I reported it via the yellow card system mentioned in the post above.
Sorry to hear you are having such a rough go of it after your Moderna vaccine. I can relate as I am now day 3 after my Moderna booster (I am in the US and received the half dose as I am not on steroid treatments or considered immune suppressed rn). I had been laid v low after the first two (full) doses with fever, aches, chills, and headaches, so I hoped to fare better with the lower dose, but alas no. All of the earlier symptoms plus horrible nausea and my arm hurts so horribly I can hardly bear to use it. I know my immune system is want to run amok, but I am a bit surprised to feel just as badly as I did with the full doses.
Hope you start feeling better soon 💜
Hi fishers63!I had a Moderna booster and felt very poorly for over a week after I had it. I too experienced all of the symptoms you mention; the migraine was especially severe. It really worried me.
I’m pleased to say I have now recovered and feel fine, but it was a frightening experience.
I hope you soon feel better.
Sending you hugs,
Honey monster.x
I felt it could have been an autoimmune reaction. My first 2 vaccinations were Pfizer. I felt poorly for about 48 hours after the 1st one but was fine after the 2nd.The Moderna booster floored me for much longer. I hadn’t expected to feel so ill.x
Hi Fisher63
I’m sorry you have been having these symptoms following the Moderna vaccine. We would suggest that if these symptoms are continuing to trouble you, that you should contact your GP, just to check that they are happy that this is a reaction to the vaccine, rather than anything else, and so that they are aware that you have had this reaction.
You can find our article regarding vaccines, including side effects here:

which I hope you will find helpful and informative.
Kind regards
Alida
Had Moderna booster 1/2 dose and no effects at all!
The Moderna vaccine seems to have stronger side effects than Pfizer for most people that I know (small sample in USA). I got three doses of Moderna, third dose was full 100, not half dose. I slept for 24 hours with fever of 101, aches, chills. Second day lower temp, felt better overall but still needed to rest. I felt okay on the third day. I took a full 5 days off because I knew the Moderna vaccine can knock me down for a while. I fully recovered with no flare up of Sjogrens. I didn't get a migraine- sorry to hear you had such a bad time.
