3rd vaccine and booster the same dose

Not sure what everyone thinks about the above .

Anyway . Got the letter to say I should have the 3rd vaccine, and to book online, unfortunately I could not get to this centre and rang my doctors , who booked me at the practice , and gave me the vaccination , I than looked on my med app , does not say wether I have had the 3rd vaccine or booster , just that I’d had the covid vaccination .

So I rang the doctors practice , just to confirm that id had the 3rd vaccine not the booster , has I was worried that the doctor had not read my notes to have 3rd vaccine not booster . No reply for a week from doctor , so rang again rather worried has I thought I’m not protected if I’ve been given the booster . A day later my doctor tx me , that there is not difference In The booster and the 3rd vaccine ???

Does anyone else know this .

I thought the 3rd vaccine was more of a larger dose ???

If anything it is less of a dose - for healthy people with Moderna who are supposed to only get half a dose. Immunosuppressed patients are to have the full Moderna dose. Pfizer is the same dose for all 3.

Hi I’ve recently had my 3rd primary vaccine and was told it was a larger dose than the booster.

Depends which vaccine you had. In the UK Pfizer is exactly the same dose as the booster but Moderna 3rd dose would be a full dose whereas the booster is a half dose.

My understanding is for non immune suppressed it is a booster, to us it is a third dose as we do not get same levels of immunity and will need regular doses.

I had the phizer for my third dose. The nurse told me there was no difference between the third dose and the booster. Just that those who have had a third dose will need a booster in six months.It’s all so confusing.

I have had my booster today. I was told I'm not eligible for the third dose as I didn't start on pred until after my first two jabs. However they said the booster and third dose are the same, this was Pfizer. I had no side effects with the first two. It'll be interesting to see if there are any with this one.

My GP said no difference, just that those who have a 3rd one get another booster in 6 months x
