Does anyone get any ear pain?? Should I be concerned?
The last week I had really intense jaw pain and with it came ear pain but once the jaw pain reduced (with the use of nopraxen and diazepam) my ears seem to still be hurting… anyone experienced anything similar?

I have lupus and I experience ear pain and jaw pain and have noticed a reduction in my hearing. I am going to discuss this with my consultants during my next consultation. Sorry I can't help much more than this but I have any updates I shall let you know 👌
Hi , I had a slight sore throat , then pain in my left ear , I was at the Drs for something else so I asked her to look at it , my ear canal was red , so she gave me some OPTOMIZE DROPS as I have difficulty with the right antibiotics , am still doing the drops 5 days on still sore , so just have to wait, as for the jaw pain yes occasionally , but cant relate it to anything other than perhaps my fibromyalgia & lupusHope you feel better
Hi, is your ear pain sharp? I have had awful jaw pain intermittently and went to my GP. He asked me to thrust my lower teeth forward and open my mouth. I thought it ridiculous but amazingly the ear pain stopped. The issue is the tempromandible joint . He suggested gentle massage and relaxation. Easier said than done when you are in pain I know. I hope you get some answers and relief xx
Hey ZA31,I feel for you, and have been struggling with weird ear stuff myself for last 2 years on and off. Yes my jaw was sore during part of it and chiropractor did some massage on me and I wore my night guard to also help out. Mine seem to come about more when I get my chronic neck pain from over 30 years ago when I use to practice dental assisting ( bad posture).
Anyhow I would get dizzy when getting adjusted, then ears started to ache and pop once in awhile. I use to do saline flushed up my nose and it made the pain worse. Was getting a lot of ear wax which is a first for me. Anyhow went to Gp after reading more on the topic and he couldn’t see anything but I felt like I was getting a build up of pressure for about 5 min. Then it would get painful, and almost pop, releasing something and starting all over again. I tried ear drops, ear antibiotics, nothing helped. It went on and off for about 6 months and felt I was going crazy! Finally it subsided. I would also get drainage and pain in the Eustachian tubes. I even got a referral to ENT and he didn’t see anything. One thing he said might help us a ear popper device. I haven’t got one yet but plan on ordering it on line. Some how you press the device when inserted in your nose and it pushes air in the Eustachian tubes and clears the plugged area. If that helps me and is all I need, I can live with that.
First step would be to see your GP to see if there is redness. Then go from there.
Ever since Covid vaccine, I started having painful jaw and ear pain and sometimes even swollen gums around the back teeth. My dentist confirmed that I was grinding my teeth in sleep so now I have to wear a mouthguard at night. And this has resolved all the pain. You might massage your jaw gently and around your ear area too and see if that makes any difference and if so, a visit to your dentist perhaps? Hope you get better.
