Does anyone with Lupus suffer from nodular prurigo? I’m climbing the walls with the pain and itching. Haven’t been able to see my consultant for over 2 years now. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. All the best to fellow Lupus sufferers.

Calamine, camphor or creams with pramoxine in it. Benadryl or hydroxyzine to help with itching and sleep at night. Topical steroids haven’t been proven to be very effective but I think intralesional injections help flatten nodules. Also, a good emollient cream like CeraVe. Capsaicin also has some evidence that it works to flatten nodules.
If widespread, there are various therapies such as phototherapy, immunosuppression, dupilumab (a newer drug) and thalidomide/lenalinomide (used back in the day for morning sickness, teratogenic so not be used while making babies).
A lot of these things, esp systemic therapies, require a visit to a physician. I hope you find relief soon.
I’ve not had your exact condition, but I suffer similar insanity-making pain and itching with vasculitis sores. The only thing I have found helpful is a haemorroid cream called Anusol (ae-new-soll). Don’t know if it will help. When the itching is severe, I apply the cream several times, and it eventually goes away. No other topical steroids have helped at all.
