Just had to share this beautiful pic of a goose keeping a very protective eye on her goslings taking their first steps. Its only what we try to do with our kids isnt it?.
Hoping everyone is as well as possible and liking it better now its cooler!.

Lovely pic. The goose and the gosling are smiling at each other β€οΈ Weather here has been cooler here recently which has been nice. Today was a little too cold though. Never happy are we? π€£ All safe and well here. Hope you are too. Xx
Haha ge, no we're never satisfied re temps. At least it gives us a talking point!. We were same as you today, could do with a bit warmer!. Glad you liked the pic.Glad your all well ge and i hope you have a good week. We are too. Keep safe. Xx
Today we reached the giddy heights of 18 deg but thurs it was 11 deg and I couldn't get warm.in fact on the weather forecast they said the winter solstice was warmer then the summer one π€x
Sorry misty I didn't word that very well π€¦ββοΈ ...I was referring to the bit about our own kids my youngest turns 18 next month .I'm ok thank you plodding on picked up some crochet for the first time this year.fatigue and pins and needles have been really bad but seen daughter and grandchildren for first time since Aug .How's the foot ? I hope it's continuing to heal and you are behaving and not over doing it xxxx
Haha!. Well worded spanielmadlady and i took you literally!. πIs it your son whose art was so good and you showed us a few weeks ago?. Hope he enjoys his birthday and lovely you've seen other family now after such a long time!. That must have been so special.
Well done with the crocheting as its not easy to do.
Foot has healed really well thanks for asking as ive been very good and obeyed instructions!.
Ive suddenly developed nerve symptoms and pain in the same foot in a different place!. Luckily ive got my op review with surgeon this week so i can ask him!. They did warn me i could develop a neuroma which this could be!. π€ they can help it.
Im also waiting for my right leg injection treatment so am in a lot of pain!.
Yes it is.ive been to visit a Stone workshop and they are going to laser one of his drawing onto a piece of polished slate for me for his birthday hopefully all being well his sister ,Oh and children are coming for the weekend before as my daughter is on nights on his actual birthday .I'd like to make his cake as I made his sisters but it will depend on fatigue.despite knitting for 40+ years I couldn't Crochet but taught myself a few years ago I find it easier then knitting when my hands are sore as you hold less weight...anyway I'm on with a baby blanket and might post if its good enough.Pleased foot is healing well.fingers crossed surgeon is happy next week and they can help with other issues.sorry to hear of your pain ...i hope you can get some relief soon.
Thank you spanielmadlady for your lovely reply and good wishes for thursday. The Orthapods said they can 'fix ' this problem if it is a neuroma which i think it is. Its very painful!. Your special birthday present sounds lovely so would be lovely seeing photos of that and your crocheting. It really helps lift us all on forum.
I do hope all your family can visit and you all have a lovely time.
Its fantastic how you learnt crocheting and im glad you find it easier than knitting.
I hope they can as we have very little family left now ...all the extended family have passed away so there will only be 7 of us in the garden weather permitting but I do have my gazebo which isn't up this year due to building work out my back.Let us know how you get on xxxx
Keeping ππ»spanielmadlady that your family party goes ahead and you all have a lovely time. Hope the building work is done in time. I will let you all know how Thursday goes in this week's pic. Thank you for your good wishes. Keep well. Xx
Building work wont be finished so ive commandeered my mums garden .she's nearly 90 and keeps cutting the grass for the gazebo going up even though it's 3 weeks yet ...I've told her we will do it x
Thank you cecily, I'm glad it was another hit!. Pain is strong but I'm glad I've got op review at hospital this week. How is your knee?. You must be up to the time by now that they gave you?.
I am sorry about the pain. Sad isnβt it that the first thought on waking is what hurts today?π. I am a bit concerned about my leg . If I stand for more than 15-20 minutes I get really bad electric shock type pains in my knee. I went out for the first time on Friday other than the hospital and just walking for a few minutes back and fire the loo I seem to have pulled the hamstring again. It is three months next week so I really think I need some help with it to get more mobile. Good luck with your review. Please let me know how you get on xxx
Hi cecily, that doesn't sound good at all. I agree with you re time for an assessment, but you had to find out how much you can do. Im really sorry lovely. Its so horrid being like this.
Im hoping the hospital ring this week for my right leg injections too. Ive had a really bad pain day today. Trouble is theres no accounting for it!. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Take care and good luck for your appt. Ill let u know how mine goes. Xxπ₯β€π₯π€β€
I am so sorry. Pain drags you down. I am afraid currently I am utterly sick of myself. Sick of being sick gggrr. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for us both xxx
Hi Tiggywoos, so pleased you liked it. Im in a lot of pain at the mo waiting for hospital assessment and treatment thanks for asking. How about you?. How's it going finding another Rheumy?. Take care. Xxπ₯β€π₯
Lovely pic Misty. Weather quite cold here in south of Scotland - had to put the heating on every evening for the last week. But sun is shining this morning with the promise of a good day.π€ Just about to leave home for our 5 day break in north of Scotland. Packed some so warm clothing just in case. Hope all is well with you Misty. Iβll be in touch once we arrive in Strathpeffer.
Thank you so much Villagelife. We are here now after 6 hours on the road thanks to roadworks and following a wide vehicle. But it is a lovely evening so fingers crossed the next 4 days will be the same. π€ Have you a nice break to look forward to? Hoping you have a good week V. π€xx
Another lovely pic Misty π€ thank u. The look on mother goose face says it all for me!! It reminds me of when my first daughter was born..it was a very long labour (36hrs) n I was off my head on gas n air n pethidine!! When she was delivered she didn't cry..she just sneezed! πΉ
When they gave her to me my first thought was OMG she's so tiny...how am I gonna keep her alive? Obviously I knew I was pregnant..we'd decorated the nursery n had all the baby stuff but when she was placed in my arms I just felt overwhelmed!!
Needless to say she did survive n she's now 33!! πΉ I remember celebrating her first birthday with relish..so relieved that I'd got her through the first year!!
Thank you again Misty..you've bought back happy memories!! ππ½π½Xx
Im glad krazykat that this week's pic brought back lovely memories for you. It struck me too how attentive mother goose is in the pic and i even thought it c ould maybe could win an award?.
Did you go on to have other lovely gosling's or was one enough?.
πΉyes had another girl three years later!! Both flown the nest now π€Sorry to hear you're in pain at the moment..I hope u get help sooner rather than later. π€
Thank you krazykat for your good wishes. Lovely you had another gosling and werent put off. Hope they didnt fly far away and you get to see them. Keep safe and well. Xxππ₯ππΊβ€
Weβve been binge-watching βCall the Midwifeβ and the birth of your first daughter and your reaction has put me in mind of that. Lovely to see you back on forum again Kat or have I just missed seeing our replies? Hoping you are keeping okay. ππ» Take care. πxx
Thanks Spotty π€I've been around just not participating much..this year is proving to be quite tricky so far n I've lost me mojo...for now!! ππΉU take care too n enjoy your holiday πππ½π½xx
Hey lovely . I wish I could help you find that mojo of yours π.. I do know what you mean though π. Lovely story about 36 hour labour π.. I remember watching my niece being born (sheβs 16 soon ) .. Iβm so glad I watched the birth itβs something Iβll never forget β€οΈ. You must have been exhausted ?! Sending you a nice healing hug π€ as Iβm sure some of the body parts will need it . Take care and be kind to yourself xxx π»π΄
Aw thank u Tiggy π€ I know it's here somewhere..my mojo that is!! This whole Lupie buisness can be so tiring at times can't it? Maybe I should do a rant post n get it off my chest? π€How lovely that u got to be present when your niece was born!! I was present at my first grandsons birth too..17yrs ago now..n that was extra special coz I wasn't the one doing the grunting n 'calling the midwife' (my daughter used quite a few sweary words when she was in labour π€¬π€¬π€¬πΉ)
Thanks for the π€ much appreciated..πn π€to u too lovely ππ½π½xx
You DEFO need to do a rant post angel πΌ because a good rant not only makes you feel better but also everyone else who feels the same πβ€οΈ. Yes itβs all so blooming exhausting and sometimes you just think β can I not just get a break here please π?β
That must of been so special to see your grandson being born and I think itβs something everyone should see as itβs a miracle !
You put a rant on when youβre ready .. have a lovely day and letβs hope something nice happens today . Thank you for replying π΄π΄π»β€οΈxxxx π€
Oh KK - Iβve been thinking of you and wondered if youβve been ok? Hope your mojo returns soon as it sure is being missed on here! πΊπ¦π₯°ππ€π
That's sweet of u to say HW π€ thank u πI couldn't respond to your recent post either coz of similarities in my own situation..gathering extra diagnosis is not something that should happen to us cutaneous lupies or so I've been led to believe..yet here I am!! Disappointed doesn't even touch it..I don't even really know what I'm feeling right now tbh?!?! π Your post resonated with me n I was going to reply with a positive story but I just couldn't get it together..that's when I realised I'd misplaced my mojo..I've not lost it..I know it's here somewhere!!
Am thinking now I'll post a rant n get it off my chest coz this will probably help me move through it n we can have a laugh about it..which always helps, in my case anyway.
Hope that you're ok HW and have settled on the new dose of pred n that you've managed to climb those ladders πππ½π½xx
Dearest KK - lovely to hear from you, and I think, there might be a tiny inkling of mojo present? So glad it is not lost! So sorry to hear about another diagnosis - as tough as we are and so used to dusting ourselves down after picking ourselves up, it doesnβt get any easier does it? I sometimes feel like a palm tree being bent double in a hurricane, I donβt actually fall over but sure do suffer a battering! π΄ π¨ β
Have a rant if you feel like it and if I can laugh with you in the appropriate places , then hopefully that will help! New dose of Pred has given me a bit of extra energy to climb those ladders, so I am enjoying that, but not the 4 am wakenings! Take care of yourself KK and hopefully hear from you soon horse π π¦βοΈπ€ππ€
Hi horse whisper, glad the steroids are helping you find your mojo again!. It's tough as you say we keep getting new stuff to deal with. It's been the story of my long medical journey so I really do understand.
I just wanted to ask are you taking the pred at breakfast time as that's the best time to take them to mitigate the insomnia effects?.
Keep climbing the ladder and you will get to the top. Xx
Thanks Misty - yes carrying on clambering, the only way is up after all! I do take Pred in the morning just after brekkie, I think the jump from 9 mg to 15 mg was a little shock to the system and hence the return to early morning wakenings; anything below 12 mg I seem to have a relatively normal nightβs sleep - so looking forward to the taper! Thanks for your kind d words as ever bd hope you are doing ok? ππ€π
Sorry to hear that Kat. I hope things pick up for you as the year wears on and please feel free to PM me anytime if I can be of any help or just an π.Thanks for your kind wishes. Weather has been great the last 2 days so hoping it stays that way for the next 2 π€ Love and hugs ππ€πxx
Thanks Spotty π€ yes this year is going to get better coz you've prompted me to post a rant!! Think it's best that I get things off my chest on the forum rather than boring u with my troubles!! πΉAnyway you're on holiday!! πΉGlad to hear the weather's good in the north of Scotland..it's pants here!! π«οΈπ¬οΈβ
Holiday or not Iβm always here to help if I possibly can. π€ But rant away on post if you prefer - it is always best to get things off your chest. Iβll have a look in a minute to see if youβve already done so. ππ€πxx
Too warm today for walking far, so we are resting in the cool of the hotel after a walk around a wee Loch this morning and before heading off for a shorter walk this afternoon. Thatβs good news your new mattress is coming on Thursday. I hope it will encourage good sleep and thus the gathering of the number of spoons you need to put up a post. π€ Until then try to keep smiling Doll. ππxxx
Things that help me get my mojo backβ¦..new knickers, a foot massage if you can tolerate it, a rummage in the charity shops, watching Friends, the smell of greenhouse tomatoes, overblown rose petals on the lawn, a nice journal to make notes in, making fairy wands with my grandchildren (any under 7βs will do), sitting quietly in church or your special place, a new lipstick, warm fluffy socks and knowing others care π§¦πΉπ π§ββοΈ π π π£ βͺοΈ π₯
πΉ thank u Stills π€Hubby has just walked into the living room dressed for a shower..butt naked except for one sock π³can u guess which part of his anatomy was wearing said sock? Yes it was his (insert Benny hill like whistle)!!! πΉπΉ
That's cheered me up!!
Yes thank u I have my quiet place under the hawthorn tree in the garden..so peaceful n I can loose all track of time..great views over the field n beyond..n I will go n sit n have a ponder. ππ½π½Xx
