Rashes since vaccine

Hello you lovely lot ! How are you all?

I’m still plodding along no further forward with diagnosis how ever things got worse joint wise and feeling unwell after the vaccine !

I was ill for two days (excepted ) and my joint pain since then has been horrendous tbh today it’s fine but this is the first day since the 5th feb !

The good news is I’ve had bloods done whilst I was feeling unwell so I’m hoping someone may join the dots! Also my neuro has sent me to dermatology so let’s see ! The rashes arrest not much but new for me ! More red in person and slightly raised x

Sorry I’ve been so quiet I found myself wrapped up in a bit of depression I think that and health anxiety and just needed to concentrate on my children! My eldest has been diagnosed now with pots and adhd ! My youngster is on the send register at school for dyslexia and dyspraxia and under going tests for add !

How is everyone doing xxx

Hi Buckley -

Good to hear from you. So sorry you have been feeling low. I can certainly see why your neurologist wants a dermatologist to see that rash. I have not figured out exactly what it is they see that clues them in on rosacea or butterfly rash. The one they all thought was not rosacea may have looked more like that.

Please keep us posted. You have had such a difficult diagnosis.

Hey Kay! How are you yourself ?

You can’t really see it in the photo I have a few different ones now from Radom red patches on the skin to spotty rash on arms burning rash on thighs and back!

This one on my face raised like a 50p in shape and size both sides !

But as per nothing striking however rashes take me away from ms which is good !

How you finding lockdown xxx

I am doing well, thanks. Almost at baseline after Covid in March. Will get the vaccine next month.

I definitely see the rash on your face. Good to take the photos in but even better to be seen in person or even video conference. When is your appointment?

We have not been in as restricted phase with the pandemic but winter makes has made this so much harder. I have read things are easing up in the UK. Crossing fingers. They think we may be headed for tough times now.

Sorry to hear you had Covid ! Was it as bad as they say ?

Now come on we all know il have a glowing skin day the day of appointment 😂😂😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Death toll is falling but still to high where are you Kay I always thought you where in the uk don’t know why!

This virus is just awful 😔

I just want my kids back at school but safely not how it is now ! I could do with the break selfish I know but I find being in with three for the best part of a year hard going tbh ! Xxx

I am in the US. I had mild Covid but post inflammatory syndrome. Just don’t want to go through it again. I am counting the days until I get the vaccine!

Your photo could be telling - one of mine seemed to show something. It is all in context. With me, it doesn’t make much difference at this point. When I showed a photo to one dermatologist- laser specialist so not her expertise - she was clear that even though it looked like rosacea (noted the way the skin around nose was red) it didn’t matter because they know I am photosensitive and it wouldn’t change treatment. I have had sun induced rashes on arms and legs. Do you have photos of your other rashes?

Have you thought of trying to get a private appointment while you have the rash? I know it is expensive but it may be well worth it. They don’t biopsy facial rashes and a dermatologist’s diagnosis is pretty significant. When I was your age my rheumatologist wanted me in right way to see a dermatologist at first facial rash. We weren’t in a pandemic then.

So are you pleased old trump has left the White House ?!

Tbh if it stayed for some time then maybe 🤔 but it normally comes nighttime they all do which is weird but I always feel ill night time 🤔 like I have flu coming ! But I don’t. Gone by morning ! Yes il put another one up again not significant but it’s like a puzzle these things aren’t they.

Not sure what really causes them the vaccine definitely aggravated me but better to have it done then not !

Hi Buckley 🥰

Thanks for asking sweetie. Struggling as all conditions seem to be progressing. Just figured out that my covid vaccines rocketed my fatigue off of the charts with each one. Kept me totally down for a month; guess I should have expected that having CFS/severe FM.

Totally stressed since Christmas and my brother was admitted for heart failure then diagnosed with liver and kidney failure too.

In January he had an emergency admit for near fatal calcium and magnesium deficiency. He also had a mild heart attack. Has been struggling to survive since.

My 91 year old blind dad has been so stressed over this and his pandemic separation from my stepmom that his anxiety/panic disorder is about to cause him a nervous breakdown.

My 96 year old mom was just diagnosed with a contraction of her left hand and it’s very painful. The nursing home is doing therapy and making her a hand splint to keep it open and a muscle relaxer to help it stop contracting. We haven’t seen/been with her since the pandemic started.

Enough to make any healthy person have problems so you can imagine the stress it puts on our unhealthy bodies.

I’ve been on line for hours trying to schedule my hubby dad and brother’s covid jabs. Dad just got his first one. Hubby gets his first one 9 March. Can’t schedule my brothers yet because his age group regardless if high risk conditions hasn’t been approved to get it yet.

Other than this I’m doing good. 😱

How are you doing sweetie ??

EJ 🤗♥️🥰🙏

Hi Buckley 123

Had my vaccine Friday and first day was fine. No after effects at all.

Then the 2nd day hell broke lose. I feel like I’m in a flare. Started with the arm throbbing now my whole body has gone into one permanent ache. My joint pain is hard to manage at the moment. Just chucking pain killers and anti inflams at it.

Hoping it’s a blip and only lasts for couple days. Cross fingers.

Hope you’re feeling better soon too x

Hey hd

Not just me then I woke at 3am with fever and shivering normal flu symptoms but actually continued for around two weeks with joint pain and feeling unwell not as bad as the first two days ! So I feel you ! And we have to have another! Tbh I’m glad I didn’t get Covid if the vaccine did that to me !

Scary thought !

How are you today xx

CecilyParsley profile image
CecilyParsley in reply to Buckley123

Yes I have taken some paracetamol as I have had a headache for three days now. I think it is due to steroid withdrawal as I have been on them months xxx

Buckley123 profile image
Buckley123 in reply to CecilyParsley

Most likely I felt dizzy coming off steroids headache and sickness!

I hope you feel better soon xx

Hi Jade. So nice to see you here🙂. Sounds like you have your hands full at the minute, especially with the kids too. Hope you are all doing ok. Haven't had a covid vaccination yet but got rashes on my face and all down my arm after the pneumonia vax last year. Would be great if dermatology can help fill in more of the puzzle pieces for you. Look after yourself xx

Buckley123 in reply to Salzer

Hey salzer how are you ❤️

I’m doing fine kids worse then it sounds ! Just have to roll with the punches ! They will all be okay 👌

Oh really that’s interesting I’ve not had that one yet I was advised but I haven’t ever got round to it ! Is that the one we have once every 5years!

Have you taken photos of you rash !? Dose it look lupus like?

Mine never look like much but it may join some dots you never know ! Xxx

Good to hear from you, Jade. But sorry to hear about the health issues with your kids, it must be a worry for you.

Your rash looks bothersome, but hopefully the dermatologist will be able to make some connections to your overall condition.

Fingers crossed, xxx

Hiya JadeGood to hear things are ok'ish for you these days. I seem to remember you were booked for a brain MRI a while back - how did it go?

I'm muddling along, a few problems with my left leg which needs to be sorted asap. I'm due a steroid injection in my hip this Sunday, which should help (fingers crossed!).

I know what you mean about putting it all to bed!

🛌🛌🛌Take care of you, xxx
