Hi, can you please tell me how you are told it's your turn for the vaccine?
My friend has a text. There's a link but doesn't have anything official on it.
Local chemist say ignore as it's not her turn as she's 60( triple heart bypass last year and slightly over weight) so wondering if this is the reason she's been contacted or if it is a scam x

Hi.i received a text from my drs surgery with a link which I used to book I then got a confirmation text. A few days later I got letter in the post from the nhs . X
The letter was an invitation letter with details on how to book .the link took me to page with my gp surgery on it and nhs logo.it told me the name of the vaccination centre ( which I knew ) and only asked for my date of birth . X
I'm the same as Spanielmadlady. I received a text with a link which I followed and booked my jab. I only had to give my DOB. Immediately I received a confirmation text.
A few days later I received an email from the NHS asking me to book and a similar letter a few days later; both of which I ignored as I'd already booked.
They've replied to the text. She says it 60-64 years being vaccinated now at a local vaccination centre. So booked the appointment in couple of weeks because they all had covid in their household and you have to wait 4 weeks before you can be vaccinated. So looks like it was genuine X
That's good. They're flying through them aren't they. Think they were just worried it was a scam as they didn't she fell into cat 6 because had the bypass and all has been well since.
I have to wait a while yet. Diagnosed with UCTD on hydroxychloroquine which isn't immunosuppressant.
Just a quick update. My friend had the vaccine this weekend. However, she was turned away when she went. As she'd had covid a couple of weeks ago and the person giving the injection refused to do it. Then within half an hour a Dr phoned, went through everything with her, the dates and how she was with covid, how her recovery has been and the Dr advised it was safe to have the vaccine. So she returned, had it and all is well.
I'm only mentioning this as someone posted the other day they'd been turned away, which was upsetting.Sounds like if you're turned away a Dr will follow up now and make a clinical decision X
