Hi All, wondering if anyone has had negative test for Covid . As l have but feeling ill doc said chest infection . Can lupus or medicationmass results

Neither the PCR test nor (in particular) the quick test are 100% accurate. The quick test is correct when positive but can have as high as 50/50 false negatives. Not sure what the rate is for the PCR - but if the swab isn't taken properly it can show false negatives too. That is more likely with the self-administered ones - if you don't shove the swab far enough up to make your eyes water for example. My daughter works on Covid ICU and they have had patients with negative tests but all the symptoms.
