I feel really restless, I don’t know why , I think all the stress of corona virus is catching up with me , all the worries about shielding , my elderly mother etc . Ck inflammation really high , tomorrow I have to go to hospital for intravenous steroids, next week travel to Italy ( to see my mother) long trip to London and than Stansted airport . I have to put myself together otherwise I’m going to lose it , traveling on my own so I need all the strength .

These are strange times. Good luck with the steroids, I understand how difficult they are. COVID can amplify everything that is horrific in our lives. My father passed away on Tuesday, kiss your mother, hug her and tell her you love her. The virus must not stop us being human. Enjoy her love for you xx

I think that you'll be ok at the hospital n I do hope the steroid treatment helps your symptoms for your big adventure/trip to Italy next week.
Do u have a sunflower lanyard? U can order from lupusuk shop..they cost £2 n it says I have Lupus on it..when staff see that at the airport u will probably be able to get extra assistance.
I agree that the whole going outside thing is daunting coz we've all been stuck indoors for so long so think that a certain level of anxiety will be the norm for us as we start to emerge from our safe places.

Hi Melaxx, not surprising you feel restless, you have a lot on your plate in the coming weeks. Be kind to yourself and take as much downtime as you can in between each part of your journey - and then you will see you your mum which will make it all worthwhile. Maybe keep in touch with friends and family whilst you are on your journey so you dont feel so alone or post on here as to your progress? We’ll cheer you on! Good luck and take care xx
Heart broken is exactly how I feel. Thank you. Dad lived with me and I wish I had held him tight everyday. We take our loves for granted when we see them all the time
Bless you, your feelings are so understandable. The pandemic is scary but I am told the hospitals are now so adept at coping with it and keeping patients safe. How wonderful a trip to Italy, such a beautiful place. I am sure it will be such a relief to see your Mother and be able to relax at last. Thank you 😊 I’ve been to hospital and had my fusion of steroids, the doctor said it’s safe for me to travel , they took some bloods and depends what the results are they’re going to add another immunosuppressant ( I forgot the name) when I’m back from Italy . Lots of love to everyone xxx
