Sausage fingers

Hi everyone hope all everyone is doing well under the circumstances- I have Lupus and RA I had an appointment with consultant yesterday to have an ultrasound on my hands as have very swollen fingers for last 3 years - he told me what has happened is I’ve had a lot of inflammation in my fingers for a long time so it’s caused scar tissue round all my finger and thumb joints and then fluid on top - they get so swollen that the skin feels like it’s going to split ☹️ so anyway he gave me steroid injection and is changing my Methotrexate from tablets to injection and said it’s very unlikely my fingers will go back to normal because of scar tissue so just got to put up with my sausage fingers ✋

So very sorry to read that. Mine go up and down... Why did they change from tabs to injection? x

Thankyou - he said that your body absorbs more of the Methotrexate when it’s in injection form rather than tablet form x
