Sorry for the long title, but wanted to get the point across in the title.
This Morning have been discussing Trump taking hydroxychloroquine as a 'preventative' for COVID-19 with no proof this works. Philip Scofield mentioned problems with HCQ supplies and the effect this has had on lupus suffererers.
I have just seen this today on +1 at 13.15, so would've been at 12.15.
Just thought it was nice and that it might interest some of you that us lupus sufferers have had some acknowledgement, especially in concern with HCQ supplies.
If anyone has a link to the This Morning discussion, I will add that to this post.

Hi saw this too. Also mentioned on the BBC 1 o’clock news. I’m no Trump fan but his nonsense has got lupus two mentions on tv within the space of an hour. Assume it will be on the 6 and 10 o’clock news too.
what worries me is that US doctors are warning people not to copy trump because HCQ can cause hallucinations, paranoia or kill you. why did my doctors not tell ME this when they started me on the tablets?
You are taking them for a reason, because you need them. Not because you are healthy and no need to take them. Im no expert, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but I would say taking any medication that you do not need is far more dangerous than taking medication that you do need. Obviously, there are still risks and side effects, but that's my guess 🤷♀️
I worked in Zambia for 10 years. After contracting malaria in year one, this drug was the one that allowed me to remain in Africa for a further 9 years.
My daughter was diagnosed with lupus in 2001 so HCQ is like a family friend!
Scleroderma sufferers like me also get hydroxychloroquine. I'm really cross about this, there have already been deaths in Africa because of this silly man.
I saw it on Lorraine yesterday morning and it's just absurd that Trump says the things he Said. This will kill more people than save lives.
With the tension all over the world because the pandemic, people will start panic buying hydroxy chloroquine. Those with autoimmune disease that then need those medicines won't find it.
The first time he mentioned chloroquine people in Nigeria rushed to pharmacy to buy chloroquine and people died of chloroquine poisoning. It is really sad.
It's nothing on you having him as a president, but I say that also being embarrassed of the government we have, not just in terms of this pandemic but in their pathetic 'efforts' over the past 3, early 4 years, trying to get Brexit through whilst throwing their toys out of the pram in disgust that decmocracy didn't go the way they wanted it to. But enough of that one 🤦♀️ Hopefully supplies of hydroxychloroquine aren't affected again, but the good to come out of this is that lupus is finally getting some recognition and is being mentioned.
