All appointments here are kept only after a benefit vs risk assessment has been made. They know your medical history and have deemed it safer to have the echo than to wait that says to me they deem the risk of virus less than the risk of postponing your test.

I'd give them a call anyway, just to let them know that you are shielding. Not all my clinics knew that I am having to shield and have moved my appointments as a result.

But I agree it's benefit Vs cost.

Hi, I gave them a call and they said is totally up to me if I want to attend it or not , I thought was a bit unfair to leave me the responsibility, that means if something happens to me they have on record that they gave me the choice. I will go because is an important test to check why my ck is so high and if my heart been effected but, I will be scared to go inside an hospital at the moment in time .

Thank you 😊

Hi, it is a very anxious time for all. But if you had a broken arm would you go to hospital? Hospitals are saying it is safe too go. Does your doc's not provide echo? I don’t know where you are and how long you would have to wait for another appointment. Please don’t be scared , they will look after you. Brilliant nhs. Take care.

I suspect you would be more at risk in the journey there than at the hospital.

They are being exceptional with infection control.

Are you going on public transport or can you take yourself?

My son is going to take me by car , I’ll wear mask and gloves and carry handgel in my bag . x

Good luck!

I have appointments in May but I am choosing to reschedule as the appointments are 2 hrs away in London. I think the risk of travelling that far outweighs the cost of my appointment at present.

I'm reviewing things each week.
