Take care lovely Stormy and keep safe all of you. 🤗🤗🤗🙏🏻😷
Hi Sue, why yes he is. He reminds me everyday, that there is nothing we cannot accomplish if we try, try, try. Storm squeezes his eyes so tight in focus, and contentments in the moment. To be like him, and live, and love in the very moments we are given as gifts. His mindfulness amazes me. His devotion is endless. So I share him with everyone I can... You be safe, be well, be blessed. Love, thestormy sunshine
Hi D, sorry to shorten your name, bless you . Akitas are beautiful dogs too!! So much strength and energy, boundless..... There are many good dogs out there waiting for a home, like yours!!! Sending lots of stormy love,Xxx thestormy sunshine
Oh I know there are wonderful dogs waiting for a home. My second Akita came from the Akita Rescue and Murphy had been severely abused before he came to live with us at 4 years old. He bonded with me as his person and with Yuki our female. They were like Bonnie and Clyde for the rest of their days. They are strong dogs which is why you have to bind with them and work with them early so they would rather die for you (and they would) than not obey the mommy voice. 😠😎We had 26 acres and the loved frolicking down by our pond and chasing off the wild geese and ducks 🦆 🦆🦆🐕🐕🐕🐾🐾🐾 They we’re also good cougar spotters for the kids 👀 Of course, that is what they were originally bred for in Japan: child protection from bears and other large animals in the mountain regions👌🏼
I’ll have another one as soon as I’m in a place where I can have one- both where I live and have savings for their care. Big dogs can be expensive if something happens and I want to make sure I’m prepared. I get a dog for life. Mine and theirs. 😃🥰 For now I thank you for sharing your bit of 🌞! Give a little scratch behind each ear and a rub under the collar for me😉
Thank you D, so good to hear you have such wonderful words for these great dogs!!! Scratches, and kisses all the way from you to Storm.🐺🐺🐺 He came into our lives like a strong storm. His flight of 6 hours was delayed because of heavy snow, so, arriving late, at 12 weeks old, he came from the belly of the plane soo happy running thru the airport, greeting anyone and everyone, I am here, I am the Storm. He commands a lot. Weighs 149 lb, and is in his 2 year old glory now. My mommy voice is strong, hubby's is great, he and Storm are bonded very tight, me, I am his nurturing healing mum, as he was injured as a pup, so we took him in and paid all his way. He is attached to humans at the hips. Soo very loving.... You are wise to save for these great beastly beauties.. I am enjoying knowing someone, as you, who has experience with this majestic type of dogs... We have bears, cows horses, deer, mountain cats too. Storm Woo Woo's them all. But he did make friends with a rabbit. Hope to get him a friend-companion someday... We love sharing him with everyone..Take care D, be safe, keep faith, keep posting and replying, post a photo of your Bonnie and Clyde, I and many here would love to see them,,,, be well friend, be blessedXxx thestormy sunshine
Yuki aka “Bonnie” was a brindle Japanese Akita weighing 120lbs at her full wt. Murphy aka “Clyde” weighed 70lbs. when he came from the rescue (4 y/o after surgeries to reattach his eyelids because of severe abuse, emaciated) but when he was exercised and healthy he was a beautiful 150lb black masked pinto American Akita we nicknamed Mr. Cementhead because he had a big bear face that turned into a 32” neck. He was such a love 💕 🐾 Yuki was my first and came as a 7 week old pup as a gift 🎁- a treasure but definitely an alpha !
Hi Dee, what a wonderful story line of your great fluffy Loves.🐺🐺. I can tell you miss the fur babies... You and your home deserve more of them Great joys, giant loves.. I will share Storm with you and all anytime . Just pop in and I will be sure to post a photo, virtual friend in him you now have. Like long distance fostering, if you like. Sorry I did not reply sooner, time today went fast. As we are in for snow, but yet, it was 70 degrees here today, so I started grooming Storm. And sure you know, let the fur fly!!! LOL.. Enough to make 4-5 more dogs from.. The birds will have lots for nesting now. And neighbors now have fur balls flying. Your Cementhead, huge neck, so thankful you found his love in your heart, and cared for him greatly. You are blessed with the journey you gave of yourself to those sweet dogs.. Take care, be well, storms woo woo woo to you and love.Xxxx thestormysunshine
