I just received an email from Sainsbury's saying that I've been identified for their priority delivery service. Not sure how they identified me as I'm 59 but as I don't drive this will be such a help as It will be one less thing to worry about.
Priority delivery slots: I just received an email... - LUPUS UK
Priority delivery slots
So far, as a regular, Ocado is holding my slot, but I’ll only have a short time tomorrow to sort my basket, once and once only!
They are also rationing, which I applaud. Lots out of stock though, but look on the bright side x
Hello Jeanette, the government has given the supermarkets access to their list of 1.5 million vulnerable people* (those that received letter and texts) so they can have priority for deliveries.
I'm very glad the plan is working and you're having that extra support! xxx
*who knows how that sits with the Data Protection Act LOL!
I know. I was thinking data protection is our the window atm . I havnt recieved a letter or text tho. I'm only on one biologic so don't think I will but will be so relived that I don't have to go to shops as also have work to deal with. Thanks for your reply.
It's remarkable how much red tape had gone out the window, but I'm glad it's working in your favour, however it's happened...deadline for texts and letters was supposed to be tomorrow, 29th, but folks here have said theirs docs are saying they don't have time for, so who knows?
Yes, keeping calm and carrying on is even trickier when you have to keep on at work..
Stay safe xxx
Not being able to get a delivery slot as a Sainsbury’s delivery pass customer in the extremely vulnerable category is really stressing me out- spent about four hours last week getting through to Sainsbury’s to try and get on the list - apparently I am now listed but still can’t get a slot
We have a delivery every week normally but because I’m only 44 I wasn’t identified- I have SLE what worries me is how many people will claim to be vulnerable just to get a delivery - am a bit sceptical of people’s intentions at the moment to be honest
They offered me click and collect I explained that is no good as I can’t do the collect bit
There’s just me and my husband my brother is looking after my over 70 parents and if I send hubbie to collect that puts me at risk but they don’t seem to get that you can be under 70 and vulnerable
Don’t normally get stressed about things like this but stress levels been through the roof for over two weeks
Sorry rant over 😬
