So I have a few appointment this week at kings college hospital but I’ve been self isolating to obviously keep the risk of infection low for me and my mum.
I’ve got my weekly renal appointment for bloods on Thursday(I’ve missed them the past 2 weeks because I’ve been scared to go out) and my last cyclophosphamide infusion is on Friday and rheumatology on Monday.
I haven’t been called to say the appointments are not happening and my Thursday and Friday appointment can’t be phone call ones but I’m actually terrified of Leaving my house and don’t know what to do. I’ve tried calling the chemo day ward and renal to post pone or figure out a solution but nobody is picking up I’m sure they are very busy but I’m stuck.

Be careful about missing blood monitoring appointments. That was mentioned as something patients may want to skip but can be very important.
Is there a way you can go with a mask and gloves? Not perfect but better than nothing? Is there a time you can go when few people are around? If your GP does the blood tests, can they immediately put you in room by yourself,
I understand your concern. They may have procedures in place to make the office safe for people like you.
I understand how important they and actually want to go and get them done but kings college is an hour and a bit away from me and princesse royal hospital is a bus ride away I’ve been trying all day to get my bloods transferred there instead. Also my GP is shut and is only doing phone calls but that’s rare.
Evening. My 15 year old granddaughter went for her cyclophosphamide infusion on friday. She has been told not to go for bloods in 10 days so as to limit travel to manchester. They take her bloods at each infusion. Maybe ask if you can have your bloods done before your other appts which will also help you not have to go out as often My granddaughter and her mum and brother are self isolating for 12 weeks. Thank goodness for face time
