Hi, I’m scared , can we all support each other, I don’t know what to do with my meds ie steroids, still taking it?
My mother lives in Genoa north of Italy and she’s 82 she’s well atm , my flight had been cancelled, if something happens to her her only child Won’t be able to be near her, luckily she has friends and family near .
What a surreal time we’re living , feeling powerless, I’m still going out but keeping social distances .
Lots of love everyone 💕💕😢xxx

We’ll all get through this 💪You got this! This will be over in a blink of an eye.
Idk how it is there, but everything is shut down here! Colleges and schools, restaurants (all you can order is take out. No dine in). Gyms, churches. Even The Happiest Place on Earth is closed.
Grocery store hours have been cut back and I understand that if you want anything, you have to get in a long line before they open because everything is gone within the first two hours. Luckily, my husband and I could get by a few weeks before needing anything, longer if we didn’t need produce.
My husband is the Chief of Police for a college campus (after retiring from a regular large department for 30 years). So he unfortunately is depended on, even though the school is shut down, they still have the full PD working just in case’. I worry because he’s on an ACE inhibitor, I also selfishly worry about him bringing something home to me. I’m self isolating during this storm.
I’m in the US so we have never had to live through a war on our own land (except the Pearl Harbor bombing and 911, attacks, not war) but I’ve been to Europe and have seen the left over effects of war. The patched roof tops are only a small reminder. I know the resilience of the Europeans! You can do this! And I know that you will. The world has known war, plagues, and other misfortune, but mankind has survived and it will again. This will soon be but a faint memory.
We just barely recovered from the financial stress of a downturned economy. The economy barely caught it’s breath before being knocked down by this, but that too will survive because of the spirit of mankind.
We are fortunate. This is not war. We will get through this. It’s just a temporary readjustment to our life style. No one likes being taken out of their comfort zone. But this will make us stronger.
How fortunate we are that we have safety within the walls of our own homes. What some may find confining, I find comforting. We still have our electricity, warmth, running water, Internet, TV, Netflix, Amazon, Uber Eats, we can socialize... nothing like the past generations have seen. Nothing like what our dear parents have had to go without. They survived their trials, and so can we.
This can close Churches, but we still have God. This can shut down dine in, but we still do not want for food. Gyms may be closed, but that doesn’t stop us from exercising. The Happiest Place on Earth may be closed, but the truly happiest place is within the walls of our own homes.
And, we have each other!! So lean on God, lean on us, and let’s make sure we are praying for a quick end to this. 🙏 We’ll be just fine.
It is not advised to increase steroids unless advised by your medical team. In some cases increasing steroids may make you more prone to infection as at higher doses they can have an immunosuppressive effect.
Impossible to get in touch with dr etc , I’ve still 2 appointments scheduled for April up to now are on , for an ECG and nerves and muscles functions but I think they’ll be cancel.
If that is advice given to you by your medical team then please follow it. However, it is not safe to give other people that same advice as it may not apply to them.
