Do any of you with an autoimmune disorder have a child who has one too? If so, is it the same one or a different one? Do you ever have similar symptoms or flares at the same time? Thank you.

Quick question on children and genetics.
Hi Georgie-girl, one in two of my extended family has auto-immunity, the full range of the less uncommon ones, pretty much xxx
I know that these diseases can run in families. My dad has Ra, 1 brother has thyroid disease and the other is celiac.
They don’t necessarily present as the same illness in 2 same people in the same family.
I hope that makes sense as my brain isn’t functioning too well today and I can’t make sense of it 🙄x
I have 5 children and 7 grandchildren, a far as I know none have an Autoimmune disorder. Although strangely enough my DIL has RA and her symptoms are almost exactly the same as mine. She also has Bronchiectasis, as do I. My gran had RA too.
My mum has lupus, diagnosed after me. My paternal grandmother had rheumatoid arthritis, maternal grandmother polymyalgia rheumatoca, 3 uncles have psoriatic arthritis, aunts have aps type condition and hyper mobility on both sides of family....I have a terrible gene pool!!!
My daughter was diagnosed over a year ago with Lupus like me. Her symptoms are slightly different to mine.
My mum, gran and I all have RA. I started as a juvenile while my mum and gran started as adults. We all started with migraines in mid forties. My gran had it the worst but I think that is because she lived pre biologicals. My mum and I also have lupus in addition to other autoimmune disorders, her kidneys are fine mine aren’t. We do tend to flare at the same times strangely enough... i think my gran also had lupus as she had the butterfly shaped rash and darkening of skin on her face, but to our knowledge she wasn’t diagnosed.
Sadly one twin 11 year old niece recently started with pain in her feet and the other has started with pain in her elbows. All the men in the family are fine so it seems it is an X linked genetic disease for us.
Like me and my daughter, we always seem to flare at the same time. Strange but true. Also all the men in my family are fine too, it's just us poor women who suffer.
Flaring at the same time.... weird but kinda cool too! 🥴
