Feeling better

After a round with a virus this past weekend, I am pretty much back to normal, well as normal as I can be. I went and checked on our gardens and we have English peas starting, yea! 😊

I went to the doctor the other day, the doctor ask if any of my family suffered from mental illness? My response was no, they all enjoy it!😂

So glad you are feeling better Tiras. Autoimmune illness is hard enough without a virus on top. Certainly have your sense of humour back! Chuckling here! 😂😂 Xx

Hi Gloomy:

Thank you!♥️

Yes, I agree, it is rough enough as it is, but, those really bad days make us look forward to just having Lupus! 😂

Making each other feel better and smile and or laugh every now and then, is how we help each other.♥️😊

Pleased you are up and about again Tiras. Great to see the new growth in the garden. I used to grow peas, lovely raw in a salad or just as asnack in the garden.

I must plant some this year. Have been bad with sciatica recently making the garden difficult. I might get some of those raised beds so no bending.

Have you quite a large bit of ground?

I am in Scotland and veg takes ages to start as I am just up from the sea and there is always a very cold wind. The peas were great though a few years ago. xx

Hello Cutty;

Thank You!

Yes, I love spring time! It is probably my favorite season of the year. To finally get out after being cooped up in the house all winter. To see the fruits of your labor starting to grow! I am with you on the peas, salad, snack. I love fresh English peas, steamed with cream potatoes 🥔, & in tuna casserole!

Yes we have, well actually 2 pieces of real estate, where our house is, we have 25 acres, and about 3 miles away, we have another track of land that is 32 1/2 acres, we have just over 57 acres. I usually plant tomatoes, peas, pepper, squash, etc. here at the house. On the other land I plant a couple acres of corn each year. When the corn is ready, Laura and I, Laura’s family, & my family, put it up for the winter. However there is a lot left, that I let dry in the field, I use that to help feed the chickens during the winter.

I live in the Deep South of the USA, so we have extremely mild winters here, yesterday it was almost 90 degrees Fahrenheit! The temps today are forecast for the mid 80’s. I plan on putting the boat in the lake and do some fishing again. Fresh fish sounds good for dinner tonight!? If I can catch anything. Really it doesn’t matter, at least I’m out on the lake!😂

My ancestors are from Scotland (my name kinda gives that away “Tiras Glasgow”) unfortunately, I have been all over Europe, but, Scotland is one place I have never made it to.

Wishing you the best!

I’m happy you are feeling better, Tiras! I, myself, am currently in the throes of a stomach virus. Today (so far) is better than yesterday but these things do take its toll.

I’m envious of your garden! Not warm enough here in the Northeast to plant outside yet but I have seeds started in our sunroom and the snow peas are already reaching for the sky.

It might only be in the 40’s, but spring is on its way!

Stay healthy!

~Hugs~

Hello Milk;

Sorry about your virus, but, unfortunately I know exactly what you are going through!😢

Yes, the garden is growing very well, I don’t want to disappoint you, but , our temps yesterday and today are in the mid to high 80’s. I went fishing this morning and had shorts and Tee shirt on. We probably won’t get out of the 70’s now for day time highs?

Hope you get better soon!😊♥️

Knowing, is 75% of dealing with health issues.

Glad you don’t have Lupus, it is difficult to deal with, good one day, can’t do nothing the next.

Wishing you the best.
