If I am getting a cramping attack my hand can go like like that. But it tends to straighten up again following the attack. I find magnesium supplements help to reduce the level and severity of attacks. I don't tend to take them daily but will if I get a run of attacks.
Your hand looks similar to my husband’s, who has Dupuytrens contracture. Do you have a hard mass of tissue in the palm? If it is Duputrens it can be surgically released. Your hand looks a little young to be suffering from this though!
Hi have you been checked for rheumatoid arthritis? My husband has it and both his hands are now permanently like that.
Good luck. X
Yes I have rheumatoid athritis
Double ouch! That's really unlucky. When was the last time you see your Rheumy and are they treating it?
Good luck. X
Go to see her in February, am on splints at the moment, but it’s painful
Hopefully they can help. Hubby had splints for the day and a different set for the night plus physio, sadly for him it was of little to no use. He has a very aggressive form of Rheumatoid arthritis and is on very strong medication. There was some talk of possibly operations but that's no longer an option due to having a TIA.
Hopefully for you there are some options other than drugs and splints. Good luck for your appointment in February.

Is it one particular finger making your hand do this or more. Anyway it is quite commone with Lupus for one to have "trigger finger". The sheaths through which the tendons slide become sluggish - swollen - and then the tendons can't slide easily or at all. I have had 3 like this and had them released. A small op. Got another one now which is so painful to move and slowly the finger is contracting and the hand looks a bit like yours. Let's hope it is trigger finger(s) because that is quite easy to deal with. Good luck.
I think it may well be Dupuytren's contracture:

But I assume you HAVE spoken to your GP?
Arthritis is my 1st thought, see if your rheumatologist can put you on a biological treatment. I hope you get better soon.
To me it looks like the severe ulnar drift of RA. I have a very mild form of this.
I get it, but fortunately for me it only lasts a few days or a week.A friend with Lupus has lots of problems with her hands and fingers and has had many operations and has specially made rings that are actually splints to keep her fingers in order.
Good luck getting answers.
