I am 57 and recently cured of Hep c. I have many Lupus like symptoms and I had a borderline positive ANA test but hoping the Hep caused it. My question is if anyone has heard of phantom electric shock and what could cause it? I don't have a pace maker.

Phantom electric shock
It would have come from a nerve either damaged or trapped if it happens a lot you will need to tell your gp or consultant if you have one
I would report it to your doctor. A friend of ours who was treated with harvoni for hep c was diagnosed with MS just after treatment. I’m not trying to scare you but it has not been on the market that long in drug years only 4 years. So all side effects should be reported. I hope this is resolved and you don’t have any additional problems. Take care, Nan
Thanks for the Input. They are not painful and I was sure enough that it was an electric shock that I pulled the bed out to see if the socket was damaged in some way, maybe connecting with the bed frame! Also, I was wondering if anyone thinks it's likely that it was a false positive for the ANA test because of the Hep C? Most of my symptoms have improved but I am still dealing with a lot of pain in my joints and rashes.
Are you on or recently stopped taking anti-depressant medication?
SSRI withdrawals can give electric sock type feelings.
No Anti-depressants. I have a myriad of Lupus and sogren like symptoms including Ranauds and joint pain and even what looks like Maylar rash to me. (I realize spelling is an issue The shock thing has only happened 3 times and I asked you all about it because it is the one symptom that makes no sense. I only managed to get some health insurance long enough to get the Hep C cured. So unless everything worsens to the point to where I can't work I imagine it is all just going to be a mystery
