I went to see the rheumatologist in Bath on the 31st December.

She told me that my Lupus had got worse since I last saw her in October. I am quite shocked.

She is going to start me on a low dose Methotrexate. What am I to expect from it?

Any thoughts are welcome. Xx

Hi Wrexlu, sorry to read your news...I have no experience of Methotrexate, but what manifestations were the decision based on?

My Rheumy wanted to start me on Aza with an increase in dsDNA only...but a medication review should be if there is an increase on 6 points on the SLEDAI-2k calculation (+dsDNA is +2)

Bit sleepy now, let us know what you think xxx

Hi Wrexlu, starting Methotrexate took me from non-functioning to functioning! I had a lot of problems with side effects and I now inject once a week. Hopefully you won’t have any problems if you are on a low dose, I am on 25mg which I think might be the highest dose. Good luck! X

Do nt worry i do nt have any Symptom, just my blood test shows i have lupus. Unfortunatly i had problem with hydroxy Cholorochin, so i have started Metotroxat 7,5 mg per week for six years. Fortunatly everything works out well
