could prove difficult with me as I have a stoma and not much intestine left, I am prescribed probiotics though. would my SLE be better or worse without them? hard to say.

So if I'm reading this correctly, it suggests that rice, whole grains such as oats and barley, beans, peas, and lentils (resistant starches) may help reduce the symptoms of lupus?

I think what it's saying is that they are finding a link with autoimmune conditions and some types of carbohydrates. I have SIBO, so I'm really going to have a look at my diet in the new year, as I've been unwell for ages. The carbohydrates seem to be causing an immune response.

Check this out, even if it doesn’t concern Lupus in particular, I think a high fiber diet (which was also mentioned in the listed article) with lots of vinegar could be beneficial. :)
