Freak accident 😜 Surgery?

Hello friends! My husband and I just returned from a fabulous vacation in horse and bourbon country, USA--aka-- Kentucky. Despite smashing my foot while using a hotel elliptical 🤪 and spending our first day in the emergency room for a broken foot, we had a great time! Has anyone here ever broken a cuneiform bone in the midfoot? How was it treated? Cast? Walking boot? Surgery? I'm supposed to have thumb surgery in August. Will they do the surgery if my foot is still healing?

Phone your GP surgery & get advice from them.....you may need follow up physio.

As long as you have no serious issues with your foot there shouldn't be any probs with hand surgery.

I had a similar problem ...injured arm day before foot surgery & anesthetist couldn't use my arm so she used the foot not having surgery!

Darned devious these doctors.

Hope all goes well for you!

Thanks Crone! I finally see a foot doctor tomorrow since my accident 11 days ago. I will get some answers then. Hopefully, my foot is none too serious of a break and I can get on with the rest of my fixes!

Hope it all goes well .......if you do end up "plastered" do look on Amazon for a Limbo.....it's a long plastic sock that you put over the plaster so that you can have a shower! It has a seal above the knee like a wetsuit so keeps the plaster dry.

In this hot weather it will be essential!

Thank you, Lupploo! We had a great time! I have no complaints. I was finally able to see my doctor at home today. He doesn't think it's broken-- just badly bruised. 6 weeks to heal and no air boot necessary! Happy news!
