Does anyone find electric blankets help with leg aches?

My calf muscles/knees ache most of the time and as I feel I have spent so much already on supports/pillows etc, I'd love to know if anyone finds they help with their aches and pains before deciding. Any recommendations would be great too! x

I have an electric blanket that I use every night, it helps with my aches and pains. It’s totally safe and has 6 temperature settings and a 1 hour and 9 hour setting. When I get cold it the night I put it back on and I go back to sleep most of the time.

Joanna098,

Dreamland intelliheat- got it from John Lewis, but you can get them from Argos and Amazon. I did some research and found this one to be good🔥

I I would be lost without my electric blanket the heat does help.

I also use a muscle rub on them if they are very sore. Not sure if we are supposed to use this with methotrexate and hydroxycholoroquine sulphate.

Then a hot shower in the morning instantly helps.

Great, I am about to order the blanket. Sorry what muscle rub do you recommend? I have just started using magnesium spray but I am not sure if it really helps me.

Thanks so much x

I sleep on a heated mattress pad every

I have been using electric blanket for years. Very picky about which one. Try to find one that gets hot light heating pad. Order two a year, because I wear them out. Use them everyday. They help pain in my legs even during summer. I take it with me if I have to leave town. I use it for pain, not because I am cold, which people do not get. Hope this helps. when pain is bad on my arms, I use heating pad on each arm. Whatever works. I hope this is helpful. Gob Bless.

That is such a good idea to bring with traveling! I have a trip coming up and didn’t even think of bringing a heating pad. That’s going to be my savior. Flying is also so hard on me.

So helpful, thank you! Yes great idea to use a heating pad to travel with. Sorry what make would you recommend? x ps I also find people tend not to understand that I need heat primarily for the aches rather than cold!
