I have been fighting rash and welts on my elbows, fingers, feet and now on my neck and a spot on my nose - I could peel my skin off the itching is so bad. Always feel like my hair is moving. I have Lupus since 2013 and have been trying to get off Prednizone (currently 5 mg) for a long time. Take Plaquenil, Cellcept - I can't stand all this and not feeling better - always these rashes and welts coming out, then it goes away, I use Cortizone cream and Aveeno to soothe it a little - changed to Dove soap. Can't shave my legs - I'm tired of going to the doctor and they dismiss it as well could be bug bites, etc - can't afford to take off time all the time for doctor's visits and pay co-pays, etc. Any suggestions?

Skin Problems - are these serious or what?
Omg tell me about it the rash ks the worse on my neck dr say its rosacea and i think i got mites. Trust me i knoq what your going through i dont even know how much longer i can deal with it
If I were you I'd stop using soap.....try something like Epiderm lotion.....I get it from my GP.
Soaps are the culprit for many skin conditions.....especially the scented ones.
Hi fruzsi01,
Welcome to the LUPUS UK HealthUnlocked Community!
Have you been referred to a dermatologist for your skin concerns?
According to The Lupus Encyclopedia, soap can irritate the skin which can contribute to dryness, itchiness and rashes. Soap-free body washes are less likely to irritate skin. We published an article on our blog about ‘coping with itchy rashes’ which I hope you will find useful: lupusuk.org.uk/coping-with-...
If you are not satisfied with you doctor’s performance, you can request a referral to see a different doctor. We published a blog article which has a section discussing how you can change GPs/consultants here: lupusuk.org.uk/getting-the-...

It is important to remember that people with lupus can experience periods of remission whereby their lupus is controlled; reducing their signs and symptoms. Periods of remission vary from person to person.
