ESA benefit changes
Hi Susanking445 ,
Unfortunately this is something that many people experience when having benefit assessments - especially if they have an 'invisible illness'. Did you receive any expert advice/assistance with your claim? Are you planning to appeal the decision? Approximately 65% of benefit decisions are being overturned when taken to tribunal.
Thanks Paul for reply I've had hands x rayed and five finger have Heberden's nodes the pain doesn't help depression seen doctor very difficult to get appointmnt though
susan i have been too 4 tribunuals and won them all ,,and only had nerve damage at 1st tribunual ,, now i have copd also rhumatoid athritis chronic pain chronic fatigue ,mental health due too not getting out aniety and depression ,, anyway get as much info on your illnesses and explain if you have to go to a face to face in which everyone is getting unless dying soon ,, aye fight them alll the way but make notes as you are alllowed to take them with you incase you forget anything that is important ,,and YES near everyone will be on UC by 2019 and 99% will dedfinatly get face too face ,,plus remember let the doc or nurse or physiotherapist or the street cleaner lol,, at assessment know and make sure they listen and try get them to no your illness well before you leave also you can get assessment recorded but must phone 2 weeks before hand and if need taxi travel also phone number on your facec too face date and time an tell them you need a taxi because public transport is too difficult for you ,,you also phone 2 weeks and tell DWP or UC ,, you need taxi as your too sore on public transport ,,hope this helps
