Hi Ksblack,

I too do not heal very well at all. Originally I was told it’s because of the prednisone I was on but now since my SLE has caused renal failure 5 years ago ( I have had SLE and Fibromyalgia for 20 years now and I am 46 years old) I am now on anti immune suppressants as I was lucky enough to receive a kidney transplant, they also do not help me heal very well at all! I bought some anti septic wipes for wounds and find they help enormously and have stopped infections up to now🤞

Good health to you

Hi ksblack

Are you on any blood thinning medication?. They can make you bleed and you must be careful!. Wolf mentioned the drugs that can cause your problems. It's something to watch isn't it?. X

I'm on no meds yet - still waiting for a diagnosis......this is just another change in my body I've suddenly got 😑

So frustrating !

Hi ksblack

It's tough trying to get a diagnosis!. I'm sure you will add the difficulties of healing and bleeding to your list of symptoms for the Consuktant. Important too to be tested!. Are you seeing Rheumy soon?. Keep us posted how you get on. Best of luckX

Hi Ksblack,

You said that you are not on any meds at the moment as you have not been given a diagnosis yet. If you do have an autoimmune problem your immune system will not be working as it should therefore this could explain the long time in healing(just a thought)

Good health to you,

I do not heal well AT ALL...my skin is just what I never wanted it to be...I am having surgery tomorrow and I am so afraid that my incision will not heal properly....This is a repair surgery for a surgery that I had last March.......

Hi leslieliesel,

Good luck with the surgery, I’m sure you’re worrying more than you probably should be although it’s easy for me to say as I’m not the one going through with it! At the end of the day if the surgery does leave a scar and it takes longer than normal to get better, scars are superficial, the person inside is the thing that counts! I may be biased but it seems to me all the people on this forum are wonderful and beautiful people, so to hell with the scars, it’s the person inside that counts!

Good Health to you and everybody else,

Thank You Wolf_1....it isn't scars I don't want, I just do not want my stomach incision to bust open and a tummy bulge like it did last March for my initial DIEP flap surgery... I do not care about scars as long as everything else is in place....and yes, a lot of compassion and caring people here xoxoxo surgery done!!! hurt like the dickens for a couple of days..no pain today !! YEA!! xo

Hi leslieleisel,

Glad to hear everything went well and even better you feel well. Send out some of those no pain feeling vibes as I could do with a few as pleurisy has hit me like a freight train(only the 12th time I’ve had pleurisy) but at least I wasn’t put in Hospital this time for now, but enough about me, congrats on you feeling so well.

Good Health to all,
