My fog is not letting me remember if I reached out about this, but my hoarseness and inability to control my voice is getting worse. Much, much worse. Doc said it could be that the inflammation found its way to the tendons that connect to my vocal chords, but I mentioned to him that other things, like excitement, stress or fatigue make it works. Think it could really be inflammation. I sound like a frog. At work, I've asked not to present anymore. If I can barely stand listening to myself, I'm not sure the audience likes it much either!

Hi I've lost my voice since August I was n the new drug belimumb but stopped as its was making voice worse came out of hospital yesterday had a biopsy done in case it's omething else but Drs said they couldn't see anything bad down there so think it definitely the drug caused it. I been given a nebulizer to use it helps get moisture in mouth so alot more comfortable for me. I Hope you get yours sorted soon x
I too, have been recently diagnosed with UCTD, Sjogrens (2016) and have a hoarse voice. I lost my voice a few years back (2009) and it never fully retuned. After seeing ENT doctor, it was discovered that my GERD had damaged my vocal cords. I never thought that it could be related to my auto immune issues.
I have Barrett’s esophagus (a level up from GERD) and I always thought it was related to the acid as well. The only thing that seemed different is that under stress or during a bad fatigue flare my voice goes out. Sometimes hoarse and sometimes just fails. Possible combination of both?
