Update on wbc

Just a wee update on wbc , its up again for now . The rheumy Nurse spoke to the consultant and she has advised me to stay off the plaquenil for now although it doesn’t usually cause the wbc to drop . I have to get bloods done again in two weekand then monthly . Im happy enough with this as not as fatigued just at the moment, she did say if i have any sign of a flare to contact her immediately. I will be interesting to see how i feel off the plaquenil, i just hope all of this will not mean that i have to stop the rituximab due in the new year . Best wishes to all and keep warm xx

Great news that your wbc is doing ok at the moment - it's frustrating to be off the plaquenil if you're not sure that it's responsible for dropping the counts. Fingers crossed that everything stays stable in time for your next Ritux xxxxx

Hi weathervane

Glad your wbc has improved but sorry you must stay off Hydroxy. Maybe you won't miss it as you have rituximab infusions . This is what you will find out. Glad your being well checked and can tell them as soon as you flare!. Hope you don't and the injections are still working!. Fingers tightly crossed for you. X
