Hi

I feel like I have lost my hearing. I Have earache and I can't hear well. I Am so down. I Am not seeing my lupus consultant until 24th October. What should I do in the mean time? X

Sorry to hear things are pretty miserable for you at the moment. Hearing problems can be caused by lots of things, so I think you will have to see your GP about this.

Last time I went a bit deaf, it was because I had loads of wax. I had my ears syringed, and was magically cured! Hope it's as easy for you x

Hi

I went to the gp last week for my ear and he said I had water inside my ear due to sinusitis. Gave me nasal spray but didn't help. 😭

Go to your GP and ask for - no, TELL him you need - an emergency referral. And he can see into your eustachian tubes from outside can he? If he won't help - try A&E. Or maybe SpecSavers might be better - they now do hearing tests i gather.

Not everything that happens is due to lupus! Go to your GP and ask him to sort your ears out. Good luck

Sinusitis can take a long time to heal (even with non lupies). We had one strain going around a few years back that was causing pressure behind the ears along with hearing problems. We live in a small town so we don't have those specialists close by. Keep pushing for support until you get an answer your comfortable with.

I was having a lot of problems with my left ear . I still do . It turned out that I had TMJ . That also was why I had jaw pain as well
