I'm not sure what to think of this, my partner noticed the glands in my neck swelling a few weeks ago but didn't think anything of it. & also a distended line vein that becomes bright blue & purple and sometimes feel like it's throbbing,
I've had a dull ache in the side of my neck for a little while but I've put it down to my excessive reflux it's hard to describe how it feels. Heavy! . I've also noticed the centre of my throat has started to swell from the outside. As you can see from the picture I'm not sure if it's because I've lost a lot of weight recently & it's more visible,
To be quite honest the veins in my right hand are bulging, my leg also has some prominent swollen veins.
Have had previous problems with blood clots. Not on blood thinners anymore.
Trip to the GP is a must. I'm to the leg veins just this neck issue is very new & any advice would be wonderful thanks x

Just a thought but have you had your Thyroid levels checked recently? I have Hashimotos as well and only recently found out that Lupus can cause endocrine issues. So although diagnosed first with Hashimotos I think I had Lupus first which has caused my thyroid disease
I had a DVT (blood clot) in my internal jugular vein. Rather serious and spent a few nights in hospital. My neck was bulging and felt hot and I could also feel it when I swallowed. That led to APS diagnosis along with blood tests. I also have hashimotos but it was not directly related to that. Get it checked out asap. I'm permanently on blood thinners.
Not recently but I need my bloods checking again, I have heard of Hashimotos but don't really know much about it. What is Endocrine? Sorry to hear about your recent diagnosis. I hope your being well looked after. My mother & her sister & her daughter has thyroid problems so they are all on medication. I'll get mine checked x
Endocrine is all to do with your thyroid. Hashimotos is also genetic so runs in the family usually affecting females. My thyroid swells up and I have difficulty swallowing. It can come and go depending on flares medication etc.
Sometimes your TSH levels can be normal so ask for your TPO antibodies, FT3 & FT4 levels are checked just to eliminate any thyroid issues totally (if you don't state you want these tests they'll only check TSH and you can go untreated for a long time and feel terrible) and from your picture you look like you have a goitre.
