Burning knees

Hi, does anyone get this burning sensation and when you look you have a bright red rash?

It is horrible and driving me mad.

I hope this is going to Tinkerjack1912.....I have not had knee rash.. my chest and upper back are a mess and yes burn.....My family do not want to believe that I have Lupus...well, I do....

They look very much like my knees! I haven't been diagnosed with lupus but am going through all sorts of tests at the moment. Diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy, fibromyalgia. As they say in the king and I...etc,etc,etc! When showed them to gp she said they looked like fat pads. I said do I need to lose weight? She said no but didn't elaborate. When I posted on fibro sight it was Ken ( admin) that gave me a link that said something about where the nerves are. I also get two red swellings on my chin that look the same. Cute eh? Sorry can't remember how I put pic on. Hope this has helped a little and you can look into this yourself or I hope Ken sees this and can give you more info than me. x LottieD

Hi Lottie, I also have fibro they say these things don't come alone don't they. My rheumatologist saw them and said the look like part of Lupus but it's just so frustrating. I'm sick to death of being ill. X

I know this is an old post. My knees have done this for about 10 years. It was random and nobody knew what it was. Recently a dermatologist said it was erythermalgia. I don’t have it in any other part of my body aside from knees so they are still looking it to it. Wanted to share.

I know this is very old, but i just came across this and have been searching everywhere to find an answer. This happened to me fore the fist time lastnight. Red rashes on both knees and extreme burning pain. I couldn't have anything touching them at all, it was so painful. When you get this rash is it very painful and feel like burning?
