Knees
Hi! When the lupus started started for me, I was a teenager and used to have very painful knees all the time. As an adult, other joints give me more of a problem and my knees tend not to hurt much. When I flare though they often go red and the skin feels like its burning and is hot to touch although it's not really painful. When my knees hurt a lot the doctor just gave me ibuprofen or co-codamol as I wasn't diagnosed and they put it down to growing pains. After diagnosis, steroids have helped my joint pain.
I hope you find some relief!

Ditto. My knees are exactly the same. One of the factors that made up my GP's mind was the heat. He imediately diagnosed Rheumatoid Arhtritis - very common in Lupus sufferers. I take anti-inflammatory's. I'm very lucky in that I have a very high pain threshold, so can cope most of the time. Good luck!
Hi Margaret....I agree with Hazel...anti inflammatories....turmeric and cold pressed sesame oil right on your knees. Natural anti inflammatory. Feel better
Margret been here when they feel cold or water inside elevator them now if they go hot and burn before bed use ice in a flannel and cool the kneecap but what I not to long or u will burn yourself I've found before when mine healed all up that the lupus doesn't know where the hell it is and stops on that part of the body also olive oil tubing on them helps at night to honest mine cleared doing this exactly the same
