Does anyone else's face feel like it's on fire? Cheeks and across bridge of nose especially when it's hot outside? I'm having to put cold compresses on my face. Anyone else have this problem and if so what do you do or what causes it? Please and thank you.

Very red face!!! That feels like it's on fire!!
Hi it's a flare of lupus the hydroxy will help to calm it down also you need to put sun protection. I used to get it loads after being on hydroxy for 6 months it calmed it down very rare I get it now hope this helps.
Hi, yes it sounds like your typical butterfly rash. It feels hot, red, very sensitive and I was given a topical steroid cream to use for a short time (too long can thin the skin) which helped very quickly. Go and see your GP. Also, same as 12derby, I don't get a rash now and my skin is in good condition. x
I get this everyday and it burns to varying degrees. I don't know what it's like to be out of a flare since 2014!
I've tried many things to cool the burning sensation and one product that has helped has been aloe Vera aftersun gel which I keep in the fridge.
If this isn't your usual Lupus pattern e go to the GP and get a set of bloods to see what your inflammation levels are like. Also take a picture on your phone if you can. Best of luck, it's so sore when this happens. Xi
Yes and all I can do is 1. Stay out of sun
2. Don't over exert myself. Ot is usually the start of a lupus flare and it just has to cycle out.
Don't put anything with perfumes on your face. Try oatmeal, aloe, or goats milk soap and if you need to moisturize then aveeni doesn't burn to bad
Thank you guys for your feedback. I would upload a picture but I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I'm going to the doctor this Wednesday so will see how that goes. Thanks again!!
