Groups

I was wondering if anyone knows of any young people groups in Hertfordshire . I am only 17 and I would love to meet with other people who understand what it is like .

I am not the most social person as I don't actually have friends . I feel like I'm at a place now where I would like to step out and become a bit more social as I think this would really help me !!

We have a young people’s group in London, with meetings running throughout the year. You can access information about when and where the meetings are being held here: lupusuk.org.uk/lupus-in-you... . Roughly three or four of the members who attend the meetings are from Herts.

Oh ok . Going to London probably wouldn't be the best thing for me .

Is it too far for you to travel alone? Maybe there's a more local support group? Even if it's just a general one, rather than specifically for younger people? X

Yeah to far for me to go . I don't mind if there is a group with older people . I get on better with older people anyway 🙂 Just wouldn't mind something a bit more local

Hi LouLamb ,

Unfortunately the group that was in Hertfordshire is not currently active. The lady who was organising the meetings had to step down for personal reasons. We do hope that a group can be started there again in the future though.

Hi Lou. I'm also in Herts, although I'm a fair bit older than you at 29. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis at 21. Happy to chat via PM if you want.
