When you have lupus do you get sunburns easily? I got sunburn in like 10-15 minutes from being in the sun, I don't remember it happens that fast

Yes just a bit of sun and my legs go spotty. I use factor 50 all the time.

Factor50 all year round is my rheumy's advice.

I get sunburned easily and also get a bit rashy if I've been silly and forgotten the suncream. Even with factor 50 my hands and feet get really hot and feel like they are burning if I so much as go outside for a period. I guess that's the Lupus, though I've had intolerance to sun and heat for a long time (recently diagnosed).

Do you get very tired in the sun heat too?

Same way, I get very tired too, I yawn a lot that my eyes water, is that the lupus?

No idea really. But heat and sun isn't great for Lupus.

Lupus sucks, does the sun gives you a rash too?

I was diagnosed

with Lupus, however, I have Thyroid Disease,

I am on Synthroid but my Rheumy

and Endocrinologist both agreed that it is all from the Autoimmune Syndrome.

Hi Jensen Sun is a big factor for me I have to be very very careful, medications and Lupus can both make you super sensitive to the sun and its UVA and UVB. The other week I only drunk my cup of tea outside for 10mins and I was like if someone had burnt me with a blow torch. Hydroxy can also make you alot more sensitive and steriods . Hope your doing ok.
