Hi Sonika. I have Sjögren's and Hypothyroidism too. It's a tough combination isn't it? You are on a high dose of Levothyroxine. I'm on 125mcg just now - I've been as high as 175 before. Do you see an endocrinologist regularly and have you had your vitamin B12 and D levels tested plus iron and full blood count as well as thyroid levels? These are all really important.

I can't advise you on what to do but are you under a rheumatologist for your Sjögren's and how was it diagnosed? Are the dry eyes your only symptom or do you have others. Hoping you have a good doctor to help you find the right drops to work for you. Some people with Hypothyroidism have dry eyes (Sicca) and mouth without having Sjögren's so maybe your Hypothyroidism needs approaching differently or your vitamin and mineral levels aren't good perhaps?

Many with Sjögren's just rely on topical treatments and sometimes on Hydroxichloraquine. Others with more severe systemic symptoms, such as myself, are on an immunesuppresant. You do need a good rheumatologist with a special interest in Sjögren's to see you at regular intervals as GP's aren't equipped to treat this disease.

Sorry to learn that Sonika. Where do you live? If in the U.K then you could phone the BSSA helpline and ask them for the name of a rheumatologist near to you with a special interest in Sjögren's. Then ask your GP to refer you to them. Meanwhile I would ask your GP to prescribe you Hyloforte drops and Artelac gel for the nights. These certainly help me a lot.
